Luis Figo thinks Messi can definitely leave Barcelona

The most important transfer saga of the summer transfer window was of Lionel Messi wanting to leave Barcelona. He sent a burofax asking to terminate his contract but Bartomeu was hell-bent on not letting Messi Leave the Cam Nou.

Messi’s contract with Barcelona end in 2021 so he can now sign a pre-contract with any club he wishes for and there’s no sign of Messi wanting to renew his Barcelona deal.

Luis Figo has now made a bold statement that he can see Messi leaving Barcelona.

Fati, Coutinho and Messi impress as Barca break the curse of Balaidos

Figo said as a guest at the MARCA Sport Weekend: “I watched the thing with Messi and his attempt to leave Barcelona this summer like all football fans: expectantly and surprised,”

“He’ll have his motives and reasons for making that decision. I don’t know what happened beforehand.

“Every club wants to have a player like Messi, but then it depends on factors like the current financial situation at the club, the money he’ll cost the club in wages, the will of the player…

“But generally, in life, if you don’t want to be somewhere, in the end, there’s nothing that can change your mind.”

If Messi leaves Barcelona next summer, Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City are in front of the line to sign the Argentine.

IPL 2021: Rahul Dravid supports the expansion of IPL, says there’s “a lot of talent in store”

Former Indian captain, the legendary Rahul Dravid strongly believes that the Indian Premier League (IPL) is “ready for expansion” in terms of the number of teams playing in the tournament.

The planning for IPL 2021 has already started. The Board of Cricket Control of India (BCCI) will have to conduct the IPL 2021 roughly four months from now on. However, there’s a significant decision yet to be taken about the possible inclusion of an additional 9th franchise. There are also talks of possibly ten teams by 2023.

Dravid strongly supports the move as he claims there are a lot of talented players who are not getting opportunities. If there’s anybody who knows about the talented cricketers at the domestic level, it’s Dravid! He’s the director of the National Cricket Academy (NCA) and also coaches the U-19 Indian team.

Rahul Dravid Cricket U19 World Cup BCCI IPL 2021: Rahul Dravid supports the expansion of IPL, says there's "a lot of talent in store"

‘The Wall’ strongly believes in the expansion of the IPL!

“I feel IPL is ready for expansion in terms of talent if you look from a talent perspective. There are a lot of talented players who are not getting an opportunity to play.”

“So I believe we are ready as there are a lot of new names and faces in terms of talent perspective,” Dravid said during the virtual launch of Badale’s book ‘A New Innings’, which he co-authored with former English cricketer Simon Hughes.

Dravid believes an added team will also give the chance for young players to showcase their skills and learn from senior international cricketers.

“Earlier, you only depended on your state association to select you for Ranji Trophy. Now, from a state like Haryana which produces so many quality spinners like Yuzvendra Chahal, Amit Mishra, and Jayant Yadav, Tewatia would have had limited opportunities.”

“As coaches, we can help the young players in their journeys but what helps them grow is experience. Look at a Devdutt Padikkal who is batting alongside Virat Kohli or can learn from AB de Villiers.”

“Look at someone like T Natarajan. It was because of the quality of data that he was able to go back and work on his yorker and that one skill has now got him into the Indian team,” he said.

UK set to host Euro 2021?

0

UEFA Euro was scheduled to take place this summer. But after the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, it was postponed to 2021.

All the European Championships were held in one country or shared between a pair of neighbouring states. But this year it was decided to be held by ‘Zany Idea’. The idea was first floated by former UEFA President Michel Platini in 2012. This idea defines the tournament will be arranged all over the continent. The tournament is currently scheduled to be played in 12 different countries. The inauguration match was between Turkey and Italy in Rome’s Olimpico Stadium and the final is in Wembley.

But in this COVID-19 pandemic, it is an issue to rethink. It will be impossible to host the competition in its current format with everyone’s safety, keeping in mind.

Qualcomm is the biggest smartphone processor supplier, and in earlier days, Huawei was an economic consumer to it. But now, Huawei has to rely on Qualcomm as it has got the permission from the US government to supply 4G products to the Chinese smartphone giant.

A Qualcomm spokesperson told Reuters, “We received a license for a number of products, which includes some 4G products,” Though she didn’t disclose in details about the specific 4G products, but confirmed that the products are related to the mobile devices. She also said that Qualcomm has some other license permissions pending too, with the US government.

Huawei, earlier, use its own Kirin processors for its flagship smartphones and Qualcomm chips for the lower-end phones. Currently due to the trade ban and instruction to not using US Technologies force Huawei to depend on Qualcomm or other SoC makers.

No doubt, these Qualcomm 4G chips will be a support for Huawei but not fully as the world is slowly switching to 5G at present.

Apart from Qualcomm, some other companies like Micron Technologies are also willing to contribute Huawei. Intel also said that it has a license to sell to Huawei.

Mozilla has released a list of “Creepy” rated popular gadgets

0

Mozilla has released a list of well-known daily use gadgets on its site. This list has been released just to look out how creepy those products are. There are a lot of creepy rated devices and some of them seem to be wonderful and you can gift them to your loved ones as well. The products are smart speakers, security cameras, doorbells, nest cams, dog cameras, and so many others on that list.

Let’s see what devices have got creepy ratings. For example, we take a smart coffee maker. It has got a creepy rating because of its critical assurances about data protection. The same thing happened in the case of Moleskine’s smart notebook. It has got a creepy rating as it has no proper security as well as the data protection is not up to the mark. Like data security, protection, these are the main things if someone is buying a smart gadget. So, the company needs to address these things to get to avoid a creepy rating.

These rankings by Mozilla are based on the potential for breach of your data. Like in this case, if a device gets no creepy rating, it does not mean that in that particular device your data is perfectly safe or private. There can be issues in the future. So, it is good not to trust in these types of things 100%. Because these stuff like the creepy ratings are mostly depending on the potential of that product. So, what a buyer needs to do is that when he/she choose to buy any of these products, those need to get scrutinized n terms of settings and preferences. So, it is better to think before as it is almost impossible to retrieve your data without damaging your product.
