Arsenal to sell Alexandre Lacazette to Atletico Madrid for £30m: Report

The Gunners are looking reshuffle their team this season after winning the FA Cup recently and want to offer their captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang a new deal and if he does that Arsenal will be selling Alexandre Lacazette. Their Player of the season Aubameyang has less than a year left on his contract and Arteta wants to sign him a new deal wherein his wages will be close to £250,000-a-week for a three-year deal.

According to the Daily Star, Lacazette will consider a move to Atletico Madrid because the player is unhappy with his game time and being a bit-part player to Mikel Arteta’s first-team plans. After the Premier League restart, the forward has been a regular on the bench until Eddie Nketiah’s suspension allowed the Frenchman to return back to the squad.

Even the Brazilian Gabriel Martinelli, currently out injured, is looking to compete with Lacazette to be the lone striker, forcing the 29-year-old to look for alternatives. So, Lacazette might be on course for a £30m switch to Spain, and it’s already known that he nearly joined Diego Simeone’s side back in June 2017, it’s only for the La Liga club to be hit with a transfer ban, and move at the 11th hour.

If both Lacazette and Aubameyang are compared side by side, the former has found the net 37 times in 97 appearances while the later scored 54 goals in 85 league outings. Aubameyang has created a better impact at the club even though he was signed after Lacazette, who was brought to the Emirates for a hefty fee of £46.5m.

Arsenal to sell Alexandre Lacazette to Atletico Madrid for £30m: Report

The ex-Lyon ace signed for the Gunner and has even played under three different managers, the current being the Spaniard Mikel Arteta, who has not been impressed with Lacazette’s performance. The Gunners are also closing in on Chelsea free agent Willian, so its more likely the Frenchman will have more competition in the coming season.

Even though Lacazette has two years left on his contract but considering the current situation at the club he will most likely to change his path. He has also admitted after Arsenal’s Wembley win that there has been no further discussions with the club about a new contract.

WhatsApp Pay: Awaiting Supreme Court verdict to roll out UPI-based payment service in India

WhatsApp has about 400 million users in India, one of its largest userbase. The Facebook-owned instant messaging app has begun beta testing of its UPI-based payment service ‘WhatsApp Pay’ in India using 1 million users since 2018.

Earlier, WhatsApp Pay was rejected questioning critical issues such as its compliance with the RBI’s two-factor authentication norms, its user data storage policy and about sharing of data with its parent company Facebook.

In November 2019, RBI stated that WhatsApp was yet to fully comply with its data localisation norms. It identified five areas where WhatsApp had to modify. WhatsApp said it would comply with all the norms by May this year.

WhatsApp has now completed the full payment service complying all the rules and regulations set by the RBI. It is now waiting for an all-clear from the Supreme Court before it can roll out its payment feature.

According to a report by the Economic Times, The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) — the nodal agency for retail payments in the country — has already given it the go-ahead, saying WhatsApp Pay has fulfilled all data localisation norms.

WhatsApp Pay can go live only after the apex court gives its final verdict in a case in which several parties, including the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the government, have been made a party, according to a top official aware of the discussion.

The official said: “The letter of approval to WhatsApp has still not been issued. It may take some more time.”

WhatsApp Pay has already been launched in Brazil on 15th June 2020. Brazil is the first country where WhatsApp has rolled out its payment feature.

WhatsApp Pay is now awaiting the verdict of the Supreme Court to roll out its UPI-based payment service in India. It will rival Google Pay and PhonePe by Walmart, who also owns Flipkart.

AMD’s RDNA 3 GPUs to have a chiplet based design like Zen CPUs?

0

The Red team launched the revolutionary Zen-based CPUs with a brand new architecture that used a chiplet design. It is this approach that helped AMD to make powerful CPUs with an efficient fabrication process like 12nm, 7nm, and eventually 5nm as well.

But when it comes to GPUs, over the years, we are not getting anything exciting from AMD and there are a lot of hopes with the upcoming RDNA 3 architecture. AMD is having a hard time when it comes to high-end GPUs, wherein NVIDIA is getting chunks of market share.

So, according to the tipster @KOMACHI_ENSAKA, the RDNA 3 graphics cards will feature GCDs (graphics complex dies) and MCDs (memory complex dies) as the key functional units. The nomenclature strongly suggests that is a Navi 31 GPU and it is the RDNA 3 architecture on which it’s based on is a chiplet-based design, unlike existing monolithic GPU architectures.

Obviously, this kind of approach has it’s consequences because due to this chiplet-based solution, there can be latency between the GPU die and the memory. So, if somehow AMD addresses this issue and makes things smooth as they did with Zen architecture, people might actually get high-performance GPU’s at low prices.

As Notebookcheck rightfully points out a chiplet-based GPU with small individual components could stack efficiently, this will help to deliver almost 2-3 times the performance of the top-end Navi parts out currently, without affecting the prices much, which have been traditional.

However, not only AMD but also Intel and NVIDIA are too working on chiplet-based GPU designs. In the coming years, we will see these tech giants going for this approach to reduce costs and increase performance to keep gamers happy.

Kai Havertz reportedly agrees on a five-year deal with Chelsea

Chelsea was knocked out of the Champions League by Bayern Munich with an embarrassing aggregate score of 7-1. It seemed they had forgotten to play football as Lewandoski made a record of having 3+ goals and assists in a single Champions League match.

Frank Lampard is a quick learner and he has already started planning for the next season. Chelsea had already signed Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner. They were interested in Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz. According to a report by RMC Sport, Chelsea has now agreed on personal terms with the Germany international.

Kai Havertz will join the London club on a five-year deal this summer. But Chelsea and Leverkusen still have to negotiate over the transfer fee for the 21-year-old.

Bayer Leverkusen value Havertz at £90million and Leverkusen chief Rudi Voller insisted that there would be no ‘COVID discount’ for the club’s most prized asset.

Kai Havertz has scored 17 goals in all competitions for Bayer Leverkusen this season and helped the side advance to the Europa League quarter-finals with a 4-1 aggregate win over Rangers on Thursday.

The 21-year-old’s versatility and willingness to play across various forward positions only adds to his value. Voller described him as a mixture of Michael Ballack and Mesut Ozil.

Voller told Gazzetta dello Sport: “We know of the interest of a couple of clubs, especially Chelsea, but for us, the situation is quite simple; he has a two-year contract, if anyone wants him on our terms, fine, otherwise he stays here another year and we are happy.”

“It won’t be easy, but for an artist like him there is no Covid discount.”

But Chelsea remain optimistic of negotiating a transfer fee after agreeing on personal terms with Kai Havertz. Chelsea would like to make staggered payments instead of paying all the money upfront, due to the financial uncertainties inflicted by the Coronavirus pandemic.

Cristiano Ronaldo looking to leave Juventus and join PSG

Cristiano Ronaldo joined Juventus in 2018 after a hugely successful 9 seasons at Real Madrid. He has won Serie A titles in both the seasons at Turin but Juventus is far off from being the best European club.

Ronaldo has big hunger for winning titles and to be the best in the world but Juventus hasn’t been able to offer him these things. Juventus has scored 7 goals in knockout rounds of Champions League in the last two seasons and all of them have been scored by Ronaldo. So you can guess how the Juventus team performs in European competitions.

Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain shares the shame ambition with Cristiano Ronaldo to be the best in Europe by winning the Champions League.

According to various reports, Ronaldo is now looking to join PSG and play alongside Neymar and Mbappe to form one of the most formidable attacking trios in world football. It is expected that the trio will take the European football world by storm. Just imagine, Neymar on the left-wing, Ronaldo through the middle and Mbappe on the right-wing. It will surely send sparks down the opponent’s spine.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes is set to meet PSG director Leonardo to discuss a potential move for the Portuguese forward to the Ligue 1 club. They will hold talks during the Champions League ‘Final Eight’ tournament in Lisbon.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner scored 28 goals across all competitions in his debut season for Juventus and has scored an impressive 37 goals last season. It clearly proves Ronaldo still has what it takes to be the best in the world.

PSG are still building their project to win the Champions League. They made big money signings for Neymar and Mbappe. Maybe, signing Cristiano Ronaldo will be the last piece of the puzzle. If Cristiano Ronaldo joins PSG and they are successful in winning the Champions League next season, then he will become the first player to win the Champions League with 4 different clubs.

Juventus chief Andrea Agnelli still insists that Ronaldo won’t be leaving this summer, but the rumours are spreading fast. The idea of seeing Neymar, Ronaldo and Mbappe in the same team has already left us drooling.

Philippe Coutinho agrees to personal terms with Arsenal, waiting for a green signal from the clubs

So, the Brazilian will finally make his switch to Premier League to the Gunners where Arteta intends to make his team stronger. Coutinho has spent a long time in Liverpool before make the horrible decision to move to Barcelona.

The Bundesliga champions have not preferred to choose the option to buy him as a part of the loan deal and have gone for talents like Leroy Sane. While the FA Cup winners want to make their team even stronger and Coutinho seems to be the perfect man according to them.

According to Sport, the Gunners only need to do is agree on a deal with Barcelona now, as the player has already agreed to personal terms to move to the Emirates. The Blaugranas are in desperate need of cash and want to offload a lot of players this summer transfer window.

So, Barcelona won’t be making a mistake with the clause this time as they did with Bayern. Most probably even though Coutinho will be loaned out, there will be some kind of mandatory purchase option or drawing cash at some point in time.

But for this whole deal to happen, it will eventually take some time as both Barcelona and Bayern will be meeting each and even if someone qualifies then the deal will almost to stretched until late August. Coutinho will only be eligible to complete the transfer when he leaves Bayern Munich at the end of the Champions League campaign.
