[Exclusive] Samsung Galaxy S21 with Snapdragon 888 shown off in the hands-on video

0

Among all the rumors and few confirmed reports, the recent report has a video proof that shows the design of the Samsung Galaxy S21 in a close-up. The Samsung Galaxy S21 5G series is not going official until 14th January 2021, but we almost know most of the details of the phones. The recent video has been shared by Random Stuff 2 on his YouTube channel but this is still unclear who has shot the video. Moreover, the video looks quite original as most of the phone is taped at several places covering certain portions of the phone, which is quite common for unreleased phones when they appear in public.

The video shared by Random Stuff 2, shows all the sides of the Samsung Galaxy S21. In the video, the person has run the GeekBench 5 test on the phone, where the model number of the phone, as well as the details, matched the image collected from the original GeekBench database website. The reference to a ‘lahaina’ motherboard demonstrates that we are witnessing a Snapdragon 888 SoC version not the Exynos 2100 version of the Galaxy S21. The Geekbench database details also show an 8GB RAM variant of the device, which most probably can be paired with 128GB storage.

Samsung records highest smartphones sales in Q3 2020 amidst pandemic

Counterpoint Research, a global industry analysis firm, released their Q3 2020 reports related to the global smartphone market. Recently, Counterpoint Research published an infographic in which they mentioned a lot of things related to the smartphone market in this quarter. They analyzed the data and presented various conclusions. You can see the infographic here

According to them, the global smartphone market is still recovering from the effects of the coronavirus pandemic. The lockdowns all around the world caused a major fall in the number of smartphone sales worldwide last quarter. But this quarter, companies around the world are trying to make a comeback. Global Smartphone Market purchase decreased by 4% year-on-year (YoY) in Q3 2020. If we compare quarter-on-quarter performance, there has been a 32% increase. Many shops were allowed to open as countries were looking to ease restrictions and open their economy. The total number of smartphone units sold 366 million units in all.

The Indian smartphone market, the second-largest in the world, has been showing good recovery. The total shipments grew 9% year-on-year (YoY) and 188% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) respectively. The total number of sales was cumulated to be 53 million units.

Let’s now delve deeper. When it comes to brands, Samsung once again proved their dominance worldwide. The South Korean company led the sales in three out of the five major regional markets. These three regions were Europe, LATAM (Latin America), and MEA (the Middle East & Africa). The two regions left are North America and Asia which were dominated by Apple and Huawei respectively. Xiaomi may have not been a leader in any market but they have performed well to get into the top 5 charts in three of the major markets. Cumulatively, Xiaomi pipped Apple to claim the 3rd spot in the Smartphone Market worldwide with a 13% market share and 75% QoQ growth. Another important point of this analysis was that Realme became the fastest company in the world to record 50 million since its inception.

ISL 2020-21: East Bengal finally manages to collect their maiden point

SC East Bengal finally manages to collect 1 point in their debut ISL campaign against Jamshedpur FC as the match ends with a 0-0 draw on Thursday at the Tilak Maidan in Vasco, Goa.

SC East Bengal’s Eugenson Lyngdoh was sent off at 24th minute of the game, which forced the Red and Golds to turn their focus on defense more. Jamshedpur FC put up a lot of pressure throughout the game but never managed to break the resolute East Bengal defense.

Later on, Jamshedpur FC too had to play with 10 men when Laldinliana Renthlei was sent off following a second yellow after tackling Jacques Maghoma from behind.

“I told the guys just to regroup,” Fowler said at the post-match news conference, when asked what his message was to the players after Eugeneson’s sending off.

“I don’t think any decision is going our way… Looks like everyone does seem to be against us. I tried speaking to the officials but they simply didn’t listen. It’s ridiculous. The standard of refereeing needs to improve.

“Having said that, we got to defend like the way we do. It was important to get the point on the back of three losses. It’s an important point indeed,” the Liverpool legend added.

“I must say we defended really, really well.” Fowler also added further.

Jamshedpur FC captain Peter Hartley, dominated the SC East Bengal fronts and never allowed any space for Pilkington and Jeje to come over and exploit. However, he failed to use his physique in helping out his side when going for goals.

Mobashir in the first half played decently but was not adequately involved in the rest of the game and was dominated by the likes of Matti Steinmann in the midfield. Monroy was well with his defensive duties and was resolute and disciplined and maintained the defensive line of his side.

Both the teams with 10 men each managed a goal-less draw and was able to collect 1 point.

Dimitar Berbatov revealed the secret behind Cristiano Ronaldo’s fitness

0

Cristiano Ronaldo’s fitness at the age of 35 is better than some of the young footballers in recent times. In a fitness test at Juventus last year, it was revealed that the Portuguese striker has a fitness level of a 22-year-old at the age of 34.

Former Manchester United striker and Cristiano Ronaldo’s teammate Dimitar Berbatov recently revealed the hard work and the determination of Cristiano Ronaldo behind this level of fitness.

Cristiano Ronaldo left Manchester United and joined Real Madrid in 2009. He has won 3 Premier League, 1 UEFA Champions League, and 1 FIFA Club World Cup title with Manchester United. Dimitar Berbatov was also on the team.

The Bulgarian striker in a recent interview with Diario AS said, “I’ve been a lucky guy to share a season [with Ronaldo].”

“Training with him was like a war because I didn’t think about anything other than winning everything, including the little games we played. Cristiano was a good kid who increased the competitive atmosphere of the team.”

“At the Christmas parties we organised the players had a great time, but he was always very professional. I never saw him even take a drink. He took extreme care of himself.”

“You’d come to training and he’d already been in the gym. Then, he’d stay for extra work after training to work on his finishing, before going swimming and then returning to the gym.”

“He was determined to be the best.”-he added.

Cristiano Ronaldo is a role model for young footballers. These very little things make him the greatest one.

Arek Milik on his way out of Napoli in the upcoming transfer windows

Arek Milik is for sure on his way out of Naples in either of the upcoming transfer windows. The striker was reportedly on the verge of joining Roma or Juventus, considering the departures of Higuain and pursuit of Eden Dzeko by the Serie A champions.

Fabrizio and Francesco Romano talked about the topic on episode 16 of their Patreon exclusive podcast, “Here We Go”. The duo clearly mentioned that the Polish striker wanted to leave, as the player has confirmed himself.

“Now, I’ll wait for the next transfer window and I hope the clubs can find and understanding. Physically I’m fine, I have trained well individually,” Milik said in October.

“I will play matches with the national side. In three months, my form won’t be too much affected.”

The striker joined Napoli after leaving Ajax for about 30 million pounds in 2016. He has since been completely frozen out of the squad and has not even featured once this season, owing to a suspension from all competitions till 2021.

During his time at Napoli, Milik has managed to score 48 goals and provide 5 assists from 128 games in all competitions. AC Milan, Juventus and Roma were all linked with the forward this summer, but he ended up staying.

If there is no offer for him in January, he will be free to leave next summer since his contract expires. Spurs was previously touted as a possible destination for him, but considering the signing of Vinicius by the London club, a move to Spurs would see him starved for playing time.

There are no particular updates regarding the interested parties, but many clubs in Europe will be looking out for the 26-year-old, especially considering he will be available for no transfer fees soon.

Eric Garcia will be a Barcelona player again; contract renewals at Camp Nou

With the signing of Ruben Dias, Eric Garcia has found regular playing time hard to come by owing to the newfound defensive partnership between Laporte and Dias. There were rumours during the summer that Barcelona were looking to bring back Dias from Manchester City to bolster their defense.

While no move for the Spaniard went through during the summer, a move during the winter seems to be on the cards for Barcelona. However, they will have to sell first if they are to pay up for the centre-back during January.

Should a move during the winter not be possible for the Catalonians, Manchester City will have to let go of him for free since his contract expires in June 2021, and he will be a free agent. The player has been keen on a return to his former club, and will certainly be on the cards if Barcelona can re-acquire his services for free.

Manchester City won't sell Eric Garcia for less than €20m, rejects Barça's €17m bid
via Daily Mail

The player has reached a total agreement with the club regarding his wages, the agent fees and all the other minute details that so often hold up football transfers. It is only a matter of time, and more importantly, money transferred between two clubs that the move becomes official.

A 5-year contract seems to be on the cards for Garcia once he makes his return to Barcelona, and given the state of the defense, will be extremely vital to the team if he can perform consistently and stay fit.

Ansu Fati and Riqui Puig show their talent in the match against Leganes

Elsewhere at Barcelona, the contracts of Riqui Puig and Oscar Mingueza are up for renewal, since their deals had the option of being renewed for two years by the club. Both of them are seen as part of the long term project in Barcelona and are very talented youngsters. The extension will see their new deals run through 2023.

Barcelona agree £172 million wage cut with players

0

Things finally seem to be looking good for Barcelona in terms of the finances, as the club announced they had agreed a 172 million euro pay cut among the players.

Currently, in charge of Barcelona, Carlos Tusquets recently announced in an interview with Marca that the players of Barcelona would not receive their salary for January owing to the disastrous financial condition of the club.

The payments of the players have been deferred by about three years according to the latest updates and a further 50 million in bonuses have been postponed by 5 years.

Barcelona reported a loss of close to 100 million euros in total during the 19/20 financial year and are losing a hefty amount every match day that is played in Camp Nou.

Tusquets revealed in this very same interview that he would have allowed Messi to leave if he were in charge of the club at the time. The reason being the humongous wages commanded by the Argentine superstar at the club.

Here's why Frenkie de Jong had his hand bandaged in the match against Napoli

Many first-team players were let go due to the financial pressure created following the doubling of that to about five hundred million euros in only one year.

Marc Andre Ter-Stegen, Gerard Pique, Clement Lenglet and Frenkie de Jong are among the players that have agreed on an extended deal with the club but will see their wages reduce in the near future.

These players will be reimbursed in the future when the financial situation at the club improves. A partnership with Amazon was reportedly on the cards for the club, and a deal with a global brand of their stature would surely ease plenty of Barcelona’s financial burdens.

India vs Australia: Indian pacers run riot in Day 1 of 2nd practice test match

0

A stony Indian seam attack led by Jasprit Bumrah and Mohd. Shami fazed the Australia A on day one of the three-day practice test match tour game in Sydney.

The visitors won the toss and elected to bat first. It is a practice match for the first Test to be played in Adelaide from December 17. The day-night game in Sydney will help the players to get acclimatize with conditions during India’s first-ever overseas day-night Test.

Bumrah’s maiden first-class fifty took India to a decent run chase of 194. The hosts were even bowled out for 108 as Shami (3/29), Bumrah (2/33), and Saini (3/19) bowled a terrific spell.

Jasprit Bumrah struck early as he removed Burns with his terrific spells. Mohammed Shami bowled a beautiful spell with the pink ball and still, there was some movement off the surface. Mohammed Shami was at his best as he struck and removed Harris and McDermott in one over to put India ahead and there was a hint of swing, aided by some movement. Siraj also picked a wicket to leave the host five down. Navdeep Saini also picked wickets to put India firmly on top and ahead of their opposition, Australia.

Jasprit Bumrah hit a half-century which is also his highest first-class score and also team India’s highest individual score by any player on day 1. The partnership was of 71 along with Mohammed Siraj, who has played a fine hand along with Bumrah.

Also, Rohit Sharma passed his fitness test at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru on Friday and will leave for Australia early next week and will join the team for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy which is scheduled to start with the day-night Test in Adelaide on December 17. Rohit has already been ruled out of the first two Tests because of the 14-day quarantine rule in Australia.
