FC Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti rejected the chance to join Liverpool in January.
Liverpool has faced some difficulties in defence this season as Virgil Van Dijk, Joel Matip, Joe Gomez all were out with injury. Liverpool was forced to play without a proper centre back in the squad. Recently they lost back to back games at Anfield in the Premier League. Some ex-players and fans suggested Jurgen Klopp to sign a centre back. But the German boss clearly said that he does not want to spend money in panic buy. Finally, on the deadline day, they signed Ozan Kabak from Schalke.

But as per the report, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp wanted Samuel Umtiti as the stopgap defender for the remainder of the season. Samuel Umtiti is now completely out of favour of Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman. He has played just five times in La Liga this season. As per the report, Liverpool has approached him in January. But Umtiti rejected the offer as he wants to fight for his place in the FC Barcelona squad.
Samuel Umtiti joined FC Barcelona in 2016 from Lyon. The French defender has made 124 appearances for the Spanish giant. The 27 years old defender is very composed in defence. But he has some repeated injury issues which affect his rhythm.
It could have been the deal of the window if went through. It can also help Samuel Umtiti to get some game-time. But he thought some other way.

Manchester City are on the verge of completing the signing of Fluminense youth winger Kayky with a proposed deal worth €17 million in total tabled for the young winger. The Manchester club are set to pay the Brazilian Serie A outfit €10 million upfront, with the rest being set in the form of add-ons.
Kayky is being heralded by the scouts at the Premier League club as one of the best young talents in all of South America if not only in Brazil, and at 17, that is a serious tag for any player. The fact that City are willing to shell out double figures for the player only goes to show how much faith they have already invested in the youngster.
The player is set to be a part of City’s youth squad once the formalities are done with and he receives his work permit for England, which is compulsory due to the new immigration laws in place in the country.
According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano on his Twitter account, the youngster is set to sign a five year deal with Manchester City and the move is set to go through in 2022 when Kayky turns 18.

Manchester United are not in the race for Upamecano and are not in ‘advanced talks’ with RB Leipzig regarding the youngster, despite rumours circulating that the club are looking at the Frenchman as a realistic option.
Speaking on the rumour on the Here We Go podcast on Patreon, Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Manchester United are not involved in the race for Upamecano and want something different. They are unlikely to throw their name in the hat to try to sign him.
With that said, Bayern Munich are currently leading the race for the centre-back. They strongly want him to replace the outgoing David Alaba, and as a consistent partner to either one of Jerome Boateng or Niklas Sule.
Munich are prepared to pay the release clause in Upamecano’s contract next summer, which is estimated to be around €42.5 million. They have singled the youngster out as a top priority target and will do everything in their power to sign him at the end of the season.
Chelsea and Liverpool are the two other clubs that are in the race for the youngster. Blues boss Thomas Tuchel loves Upamecano and is considered to be a very important factor in their pursuit of the defender. However, Bayern are leading the race.

Contract negotiations between Real Madrid and club captain Sergio Ramos are negotiations stuck and in standby. There is currently no agreement between the two parties regarding an extension of his current deal that expires at the end of the season.

Talks of a proposed European Super League have been doing the rounds for more than a year now, and UEFA is planning to change the Champions League format to suit combat the tournament and prevent it from ever coming into existence in the first place.

The US phone manufacturer Reliance is working on a 5G smartphone that will be launched in India under the name of Reliance Communications, LLC. There are around three devices that are in talks to be launched in India- Reliance Orbic Magic 5G, Orbic Myra 5G, and Orbic Myra.
