Josep Pedrerol claims Sergio Ramos will leave Real Madrid in the summer

According to reports in Spain, Real Madrid has requested Sergio Ramos to take a pay cut to ease the club’s burden of paying Gareth Bale’s hefty wages. Ramos’ contract expires in the summer, and there has been no headway in discussions over a new deal.

Sergio Ramos is one of the most important members of the current Real Madrid squad and he is still performing at the highest level so it’s pretty difficult to expect him to accept a pay cut. There would be many clubs who will be willing to pay his current wage or even more to secure his services. So Real Madrid must deal with the matter in a careful way.

A recent report has come up in Marca, where Josep Pedrerol said on ‘El Chiringuito’ on Sunday that Sergio Ramos will be leaving Real Madrid in the summer.

Josep Pedrerol said: “Sergio Ramos is leaving Real Madrid. I don’t think there’s any possibility of him staying. There’s no way back.”

“In these circumstances, Real Madrid won’t offer him more money. It’s a shame and I think Ramos is making a mistake. Make an effort. Take 10 percent less and sign for two years and then, if the financial situation improves, this can improve too.”

Ramos joined the club in 2005 from Sevilla for €27 million and has been with them ever since. The Spaniard turns 35 at the end of March and has been demanding a two-year contract extension, which will see him receive the same salary that he is on right now.

Speaking on the Here We Go podcast on Patreon, Fabrizio Romano mentioned that his situation would be more transparent in one month. Florentino Perez will be a significant factor and have a chance to change his mind with individual involvement in contract talks with arguably their most loyal player over the last decade.

Intel has leaked the Intel Core i9-10900KS Special Edition CPU by mistake

0

The previous two generations of Intel processors have offered very limited edition processors that were the best ones of the best money could get. Now some information is suggesting that the same is going to happen with this generation. On an Intel Software Advantage Program qualifying list, the Intel Core i9-10900KS Special Edition CPU has been noticed. Though not much is known about the CPU, it is expected to release very soon.

The last two generations did feature an SKU of a limited edition which was Core i7-8086K and Core i9-9900KS. The main selling point of these was that they had the best quality binned silicon Intel could possibly offer. Honoring the 40 year anniversary of Intel’s 8086 processor, the i7-8086K is one of the best releases.

It offers a 5 GHz boost speed which was the first for Intel and was at the top of the market at that time. Based on overclocking, it didn’t perform much better than the 8700K.

Intel 9900KS Featured Image 740x491 1 Intel has leaked the Intel Core i9-10900KS Special Edition CPU by mistake

The i9 9900KS didn’t have any history attached to it like the 8086K, but it had done its performance and showed the potential to back it up. We can expect that the i9-10900KS comes with good overclocking potential. For the all-core-turbo, we could not expect to have 5 GHz on 10 cores due to the constraints like power and heat.

It’s possible if you have the perfect equipment to overclock. Here we can expect higher clock speed as this is Intel’s best silicon. As this is the first time we are hearing about the 10900KS, so take all this for now as a pinch of salt.

DIY community reports high failure rates with AMD Ryzen 5000 CPUs

0

Advanced Micro Devices released their new Zen 3 core architecture based, Ryzen 5000 desktop CPUs, and the tech community is already calling them the best CPUs manufactured by AMD to date. The processors offer top of the line specs and insane amounts of performance.

But, custom DIY PC Builder, PowerGPU, reports that they are seeing very high failure rates with the new AMD CPU & motherboard platform. According to sources, PowerGPU stated that, the AMD’s Ryzen 5000 CPUs have a very high rate of failure and that it increases even more so with the high-end CPUs.

A new report indicates that it’s not just the PowerGPU, but others of the DIY community are also facing a similar issue. Harukaze5719 talked to a Korean DIY PC Builder who reports similar defects and failures when using Ryzen 5000 Desktop CPUs on X570 / B550 motherboards. 1usmus (Yuri Bubliy) states that aside from DOA chips, Ryzen 5000 CPUs that have poor FCLK overclocking capabilities and incorrect CPPC tags relative to FIT and temperature are not even accounted for within these numbers.

Sources indicate that the failure rate was considerably higher in Intel CPUs. but after the launch of Ryzen 5000, AMD processors have crossed Intel’s in the failure rate.

Currently, AMD is busy keeping up with the high demand of the Ryzen 5000 CPUs as well as the Ryzen 3000’s. since both of them are produced using TSMC’s 7nm process nodes, the demand for both the CPUs are quite high.

Though there are reports of high failure rates, it is still worth mentioning that there are many out there who are using their desktop with Ryzen 5000 without any failures. But several failure reports from the DIY community are certainly a cause of concern for AMD.

Roberto Carlos’ transfer to Chelsea collapsed at the last minute

0

Proudly heralded by most football fans as the best left-back to ever play the sport, Roberto Carlos revealed in a recent interview with Goal that he was on the verge of joining Premier League club Chelsea following a legendary 11-year spell at Real Madrid that saw him leave out all the rest in his position.

Here is what the legendary full-back had to say regarding the failed transfer to London:

‘I had two proposals, Fenerbahce and Chelsea. Chelsea didn’t work out so I signed for Fenerbahce.

‘But, with Chelsea, it got very close. It was literally agreed and I just had to go there and sign the contract.

‘It was just a week before I signed for Fenerbahce and I had been to Paris to meet both Roman Abramovich and Peter Kenyon.

‘Unfortunately, in the final moments something didn’t work out just before finalising, which happens a lot in football. There was an issue with the lawyer.

‘It was all agreed, though, and I am 100 per cent sure I would have done well in the Premier League and it would have suited my characteristics.’

Carlos ended up joining Fenerbahce in the summer of 2007 in a free transfer. He then left the club after a two-and-a-half year spell to join Corinthians in his home country of Brazil.

Then Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho was sacked months after the failed transfer, and Chelsea fans were left disappointed, having once been treated to the idea of seeing club icon Ashley Cole and Roberto Carlos in the same squad.

The Brazilian made 370 appearances for Los Balncos during which he scored 48 goals and provided 53 assists. He won the Champions League thrice with Los Blancos, and was a part of the iconic Brazil squad that won the 2002 World Cup.

Expansions in format could ruin the Champions League and the World Cup

0

While talks of the European Super League emerging as a competition to the UEFA Champions League have died down once again, the Champions League itself could be on the verge of decline after the proposed Swiss Model comes into play in 2024.

The group stage is expected to be sized up, with teams playing ten matches in the table format. Plans for the proposed Super League involved clubs breaking away from the UEFA format and having a literal League of their own, with fixed participants receiving an unbelievable amount of money alongside European competition to mint more money.

bayern munich 2 Expansions in format could ruin the Champions League and the World Cup

Even the Champions League that we see now was once as the name truly suggests, the battle of the Champions of Europe’s leagues. But it has now expanded into the race of 32 teams, which has been widely accepted as the norm.

However, history speaks against the expansions of tournaments, with the Euros and the Nations League already being subjected to such expansions. The tournaments have since lost a bit of their lustre with the expansion of pool A of the Nations League into a confusing and elaborate set of fixtures.

FIFA World Cup Expansions in format could ruin the Champions League and the World Cup

The World Cup, the holy grail of football is also expected to undergo an expansion with the number of teams being expanded to 48 from 32. The 2026 edition will be the first to have the 48-team format which will only delay things until the business end of the tournament.

The danger of expanding big tournaments is documented even now, with managers of top clubs all across the continent moaning about the congested fixture schedules placing their squad in fitness hell.

Injuries will no doubt increase with the heightened physical demand on players, and it really does not seem like a good idea for those running around on the pitch. However, it will boost the financial power of the sport massively.

6G: the race is on!

0

The world has already tasted the power of 5G, though in my country we are still struggling with 4G. Personal grievances aside, the power of 5G is yet to bless the whole world with its might. But that doesn’t mean that the countries around the world are not eager to establish their dominance with the new technology.

But we are not talking about 5G here. That’s right, tech giants and governments around the world are already preparing themselves for the next big industrial revolution which will be brought forth by 6G.

Though still at least a decade away from becoming a reality, 6G — which could be up to 100 times faster than the peak speed of 5G — the country and the company which will be the first to develop this new telecommunication technology will be the ultimate winner of this race. Again, we struggle with 4G in my country, but it’s not like anybody cares.

Seriously though, the 6G technology is still only a theoretical proposition, but it is still enough to spark rivalries between already enemy countries like the U.S. and China. Under Trump, the Chinese tech market suffered a heavy blow, especially its 5G development.

But the new race of 6G has determined Chinese tech companies, especially Huawei, to take on US-based vendors. However, it could also provide the US with the opportunity to regain lost ground in wireless technology.

“Unlike 5G, North America will not let the opportunity for a generational leadership slide by so easily this time. The competition for 6G leadership will likely be fiercer than that for 5G.”

But to the surprise of the world leaders, China is already moving forward with its plan for 6G development. In November, the country launched a satellite to test airwaves for potential 6G transmission, and Huawei has a 6G research centre in Canada. Telecommunications equipment manufacturer ZTE Corp. has teamed up with China Unicom Hong Kong Ltd. to develop 6G technology.

But the major hurdle for the advancement of Chinese tech giants is still the regulations imposed by the U.S. as witnessed in the case of ZTE; the United States has the power to nearly bankrupt the Chinese companies that are highly dependent on the U.S developed technologies.

“Currently China seems to be doing everything in terms of surveillance and suppression to make sure that they lose future markets in the U.S. and Europe. This indicates that the technical approach to 6G cannot be trusted to be decoupled from state ideological objectives.”

There is a growing lack of trust in how Chinese companies like Huawei use their technologies. Countries worldwide are growing increasingly worried about how 5G technology is being used by authoritarian regimes, with fears that 6G could enable technologies such as mass drone surveillance.

“Technological advances, especially those as futuristic and complex such as 6G radio communication should be developed carefully. We believe that countries cannot start soon enough. The private sector cannot start soon enough. And that is why we already have initiatives such as the Next G Alliance.”

AMD Ryzen 7 5750G PRO APU overclocked to 4.8 GHz

0

Again an AMD Ryzen 5000G APU has been leaked in the form of Ryzen 7 5750G PRO and previously we also spotted the APU. It seems although AMD has restricted the new Zen 3 based Cezanne APUs in China, a lot of system integrators and validators have leaked the specs of them and even tried to sell them on eBay.

On the other hand, the Ryzen 7 5700G APU was also spotted earlier with 4.4 GHz boost clock speeds and it was theoretically faster than Ryzen 7 3700X on benchmarks. Both the 5750G PRO and 5700G SKUs should offer similar kind of performance with 8 cores and 16 threads.

The screenshot was posted at Baidu, the sample had been overclocked to 4.8 GHz, by supplying 1.47V. However going to 4.9 GHz (4890 MHz) at 1.5V didn’t seem stable, however, can be successfully applied during light loads and gaming. As we saw with Ryzen 7 5800X, overclocking at over limits causes sudden spikes and temperature increase.

Coming to the CPU-Z scores, the APU scores 660 points in single-core and a pretty good, making it almost or even better than a stock Ryzen 7 5800X, which we reviewed earlier.

Still, the engineering sample seems good as it can reach the flagship 8-core CPU performance, now the performance of the iGPU remains to be seen though. With such a huge number of leaks, the launch of these new desktop APUs seems incoming in the next few months.

The US semiconductor giants write to Biden

0

The semiconductor industry is the core of the computer technology market. Without powerful processors supporting our high-performing devices, there is absolutely no way for advanced operations to be undertaken.

The newly elected president Joe Biden has initiated the white house’s economic recovery and infrastructure plan. After Trump’s presidency nearly bankrupted the country, it seems that the new president is working hard to make amendments.

On the contrary personalities like Intel’s Bob Swan and AMD’s CEO Lisa Su, and several other prominent members of the semiconductor market have reached out to the new US president, stating that there must be a “substantial funding” as part of the White House’s economic recovery and infrastructure plan, to the semiconductor market.

The letter which was sent to the president represents 98% of the U.S. semiconductor industry by revenue, and included signatures by Swan and Su and CEOs and top executives at Nvidia, Broadcom, Western Digital, IBM, Qualcomm, and several other companies.

“We, therefore, urge you to include in your recovery and infrastructure plan substantial funding for incentives for semiconductor manufacturing, in the form of grants and/or tax credits, and for basic and applied semiconductor research. We believe bold action is needed to address the challenges we face. The costs of inaction are high.”

Semiconductors are a crucial part of the US economy, and as we have witnessed in the last year, the country has been falling short in manufacturing the chipsets. Whereas their rivals like TSMC and SMIC have been increasing their productions and Samsung is proving to be a strong rival for the US-based silicon manufacturers.

Amidst all this, the semiconductor giants suggest that Biden should work with Congress to fund incentives and investments in U.S. semiconductor manufacturing and research authorized in the CHIPS for America Act as part of the 2021 defence bill, which passed in January.

“As a result, the U.S. is uncompetitive in attracting investments in new fab construction and our technology leadership is at risk in the race for preeminence in the technologies of the future, including artificial intelligence, 5G/6G, and quantum computing.”

If the US administration increases investments in domestic chip manufacturing, then it could help improve CPU supply, which can have a substantial financial impact on companies and other organizations.

Is the card worth doing?

As you can see, he has a decent stat in every department. His physical and defending stats would allow you to use him as a defensive-minded midfielder who can dictate the play from the middle of the park with excellent vision and short and long pass.

The Curtis Jones 88 CM card also has a pretty good pace for a midfielder and decent shooting and dribbling. He has a high work rate for both defence and attack, making him one of the very few CM cards with all-round attributes.

Screenshot 25 1 FIFA 21: Is the 88-rated Curtis Jones Future Star card worth doing?
Screenshot 27 1 FIFA 21: Is the 88-rated Curtis Jones Future Star card worth doing?

The Curtis Jones Future Star card also has a Flair trait, and he has a good height of 6’1″ so you can expect to win some headers in the middle of the park.

I have played him in the middle of my 3 man midfield alongside Kevin De Bruyne and Dybala. Jones acts as a midfielder who will guard the defence but would also get forward to start the attack. I have played FUT Champions match with him, and he has been pretty good for me.

So, if you’re looking for an intricate LM or a CM maestro, you should definitely get him done through the SBC. It is too good a card to ignore, and the in-game statistics are also outstanding, which makes it worth doing the SBC.

If you’ve done this SBC, let me know in the comments below about your experience while playing with the 88-rated Curtis Jones Future Star card.
