Apple Car mass production could be delayed till 2028, hints Ming-Chi Kuo

The US tech giant, Apple, is considered one of the companies which can change the demographics of Electric vehicles in the future. Since 2014, Apple has been working on a project called, Project Titan, to build a Smart Car system. As a part of this project, Apple started the design of its own electric car from the scratch. In a recent report, it was suggested that Apple Car could be manufactured as soon as the end of 2024. Now, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has come out and stated that the mass production can be delayed until “2028 or later.”

This delay is major because of three reasons. Firstly, uncertainty about the timing. Secondly, uncertainty about the supplier & vehicle’s specifications and lastly uncertainty about the competitiveness in the Electric vehicle market. Referring to the earlier reports, Ming-Chi Kuo stated that the market is “too bullish about Apple Car”.

Even though Apple started working on the EV car project in 2014, they have struggled to operate smoothly due to various reasons. Thus, they opted to focus only on the software section of the technology. Doug Field, who worked earlier in Tesla, joined Apple two years back and took control of the EV car project.

Kuo was also quick to mention that Apple cannot just presume that they will capture the EV market very easily. Even though Apple is one of the biggest tech companies in the world, they have struggled to win market share in the smart speaker space with their Apple HomePod. The competition in the EV auto space is fierce. There are many companies whose portfolio is focused only on the electric vehicle market. These companies might have an edge when compared to Apple in this segment. Apple also believes that self-driving data and AI will be one of the most important components of the cars in the future. Thus, they are putting a great deal of time to improve in that segment.

Mysterious Motorola phone teased by Lenovo executive

0

Recently, Chen Jin, Lenovo’s General Manager of the mobile phone department in china, has shared an image of a retail package of an unknown Motorola phone through Weibo. According to this post, it can assume easily, that Motorola is planning to launch a couple of smartphones soon in China.

We all know that Lenovo sold only two Motorola phones, includes Moto G7 Plus and Motorola P50 in China last year. In 2020, Motorola has only released Moto Razr (2019) and Razr 5G model. Apart from Razr handsets, the company hasn’t released any other smartphone in the home market.

Last month in an interview, Chen Jin said about their new selling technique. According to Chen Jin, the company is planning to adopt its new strategy for selling Lenovo and Motorola’s upcoming handset. Earlier this month, the Lenovo Lemon K12 series has unveiled in China. All of the smartphones in the Lenovo Lemon series are mid-range devices.

Usually, Motorola launches all types of smartphones, includes mid to high-range smartphones. According to the interview with Chen Jin, it is predicted that the company is planning to launch a new smartphone in China. This upcoming device could be a mid-range or a high-end Motorola smartphone. But it is confirmed, that the upcoming device will launch in China.

Apart from this information, the rest remains a mystery. Motorola las launched a branch of 5G devices including Moto G 5G, Moto G 5G Plus in the global market, it could be possible that the company will relaunch these devices in China. The company is also expected to announce a Moto G phone with Snapdragon 800 series chipset soon in China.

Real Madrid concerned by Bale’s form at Spurs

0

While Madrid fans breathed a sigh of relief when Gareth Bale’s season-long loan to Tottenham Hotspur was announced, the fans of the London club were excited to see their former player back in action for Spurs.

However, Bale’s return to Spurs has been less than overwhelming, to say the least. The Welshman has been struggling with injuries, and has barely featured or started games under Jose Mourinho.

Bale featured for Spurs in their recent victory against Stoke City in the Carabao Cup but was withdrawn at half-time. Here is what Jose Mourinho had to say regarding the substitution:

“At half-time, the only thing that matters is to reorganise the team and when I was told he couldn’t come for the second half, it is time for the medical department. It was his decision of leaving.”

Bale’s form and injury plagued spell in London has left Real Madrid concerned regarding their player. The loan deal expires at the end of the season following which, the player will be back on the books of the Madrid club.

His £650,000 wage is one of the highest in world football, and considering that he isn’t a part of Zinedine Zidane’s plans, is being paid an unbelievable amount of money to simply make up the numbers.

The player’s contract runs until the summer of 2022, and Madrid will definitely try to sell him for a fee in the summer than have his wages on their payroll for virtually no benefit. A move to the middle east could be likely considering China’s wage cap situation.

Should they not be able to get rid of the winger, Madrid’s plans of signing Kylian Mbappe, and possibly, Erling Haaland as well, could have to take some time to become realised.

Joan Laporta wants Jurgen Klopp to replace Koeman

0

Ronald Koeman’s future at FC Barcelona is at stake as FC Barcelona’s presidential candidate Joan Laporta made it clear that he will vouch against the Dutch manager. Joan Laporta is extremely vocal about his plans for the future of FC Barcelona.

Ronald Koeman took charge of FC Barcelona as Quique Setien was sacked after the 8-2 loss against FC Bayern Munich in UEFA Champions League. Koeman has started the journey with a constant plan and style. He decided to release the aged players and make a young squad with talented youngsters.

Joan Laporta wanted to bring Pep Guardiola to FC Barcelona at first. But his plan has drowned as Pep extended his contract with Manchester City.

So Joan is considering to bring Jurgen Klopp from Liverpool to replace Ronald Koeman. Jurgen Klopp has won the FIFA Manager of the Year in two consecutive seasons. He has made Liverpool the super-power again after a long time. In 2019, Liverpool won the UEFA Champions League. Last season they won the most coveted Premier League after 30 years.

Klopp’s playing style is always applauded by the football fans since his days in Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund. He is equally successful with both Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool

Klopp has a contract with Liverpool until the 2023/24 season. FC Barcelona will need to pay a major transfer to see to secure the service of Jurgen Klopp. Though Liverpool is not ready to release Klopp it will be an interesting move for FC Barcelona.

Santos challenges Messi record for the highest no of goals for a single club and claims Pele has 1091 goals for them

0

“In the last few days, there has been a lot of talk in the media and on social media about how many goals Pele scored in a Santos shirt,” read a post on Santos’ social media handle.

“According to some statistics, the Argentine Lionel Messi (Barcelona) became the player with the most goals for a single club, when he scored 644 for the Catalans, excluding friendlies — which some call official goals.

“Pele has already congratulated Barcelona’s No. 10: ‘Stories like ours, of love for the same clubs for so long, sadly, will keep becoming rarer in football,’ O Rei [The King] wrote on social media.

“However, part of the media report the total, while excluding the best record of all: the total number of goals for the clubs. Pele scored 1,091 for Santos.

Messi recently scored his 644th “official” goal for Barcelona, cementing him as the highest scorer of such goals in all competitions.

“In the expert press accounts, O Rei scored 643 in competitive matches and the 448 goals scored in friendly matches and tournaments were ostracised as if they hold less value.

“The 448 goals which today they try to disqualify, were scored against the best teams of the time. Club America (Mexico) and Colo Colo (Chile) each conceded nine goals against Pele.

Some have squandered the attempt to uphold Pele’s record by Santos, even calling for goals in training to be counted considering the lengths that the club are going to.

“Inter Milan, one of the great European sides in the 1960s, conceded eight from O Rei. The list is immense and includes huge names: River Plate, Boca Juniors, Racing, Universidad de Chile, Real Madrid, Juventus, Lazio, Napoli, Benfica and Anderlecht.

“Even Barcelona, where Messi plays, was one of Pele’s victims. He scored four goals in four games [against them].”

Diego Costa CONFIRMED to leave Atletico Madrid

Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa is set to leave the club after returning in 2018, following a 3 and a half year stint at Chelsea that saw him manage to find the back of the net 58 times in 120 appearances, as well as assist 24 during his time with the Blues.

Costa was extremely significant in Chelsea’s Premier League title-winning team and is still missed by fans as one of the best strikers since the departure of the legendary Didier Drogba.

The 32-year-old is reportedly being spoken to by Chinese, as well as Brazilian clubs, but considering that he might still have a few good years left to give to European football, a move to one of the big names in need of a backup striker could also be on the cards for the player.

With China’s recent wage cap in place, many players from Europe will be discouraged from heading east, with the main charm of playing in China, the monetary aspect, having been tamed by the authorities.

The Brazilian born-Spanish international has spent a considerable amount of time on the bench owing to injury. The arrival of Luis Suarez and the emergence of Joao Felix as a top talent in the Atletico Mdiegoadrid squad has also limited the amount of game time that the player has had this season.

In 7 appearances in La Liga this season, Diego Costa has managed to score two goals only, spending only 204 minutes on the pitch.

The player’s contract expires at the end of the season, and he will be free to discuss terms with new clubs when the January transfer window opens on New Year’s Day. Fabrizio Romano reports that Costa will take his time to choose his next destination, but could leave if a suitable bid arrives in January as well.

Intel NUC 11: what we know so far

Intel will be unveiling the performance details of its NUC 11. But no matter the official specs, the details of the device have already been revealed by various leakers and it has also made an appearance on UserBenchmark. The device will carry a choice of three Tiger Lake processors, ranging from the Core i3-1115G4 to the Core i7-1165G7. All are 28W processors and boost above 4 GHz. The Core i3 includes a lesser GPU though, with Xe Graphics reserved for the Core i5 and Core i7 SKUs.

In the processor choice offered, only the Core i7-1165G7 model has appeared on UserBenchmark. Benchmarked as the Intel NUC11PHi7, the NUC 11 Performance has been paired with a GeForce RTX 2070 GPU.

Though the performance results are quite satisfying, it is still not clear as to how the evaluation was carried on, but it may have been with an eGPU connecting to one of the machine’s Thunderbolt ports. The device will offer three USB 3.1 Gen2 ports, USB 2.0 ports via internal headers, a Gigabit Ethernet port, an HDMI 2.0b port, and a Mini DisplayPort 1.4 connection.

According to sources, Intel will release three chassis types of the NUC 11 Performance. The “Slim” K will be the smallest of the three, measuring 117 x 112 x 38 mm, with the “Tall” H and “Tall Q” chassis coming in at 51 mm and 56 mm tall, respectively. The three chassis will include the same core features, but the “Tall” H and “Tall Q” will include additional equipment that the “Slim” K lacks. The “Tall” H and “Tall” Q will both have a 2.5-inch SATA 3 bay capable of housing up to 7 mm thick drives, while the “Tall” Q will also have a wireless charger built into its lid.

Luka Sucic heralded as Dominik Szoboszlai’s replacement by agent

0

Dominik Szoboszlai’s transfer saga reached it’s conclusion last week with the Hungarian making the switch to sister club RB Leipzig in the German Bundesliga. The player’s agent Matyas Esterhazy spoke to Fabrizio Romano and Francesco Porzio on the “Here We Go” podcast on Patreon, and was asked about who might possibly replace Szoboszlai at Salzburg.

Esterhazy pointed towards Luka Sucic as the heir to Dominik Szoboszlai’s midfield berth at the club. At 18, Sucic still has a long way to go, but has the potential to be one for the future. The signs look good for him, especially since he is already being singled out by a top agent in Europe.

Sucic joined the Edelweiss youth academy first before joining the Salzburg youth team. He has since managed to break into the first team, and occasionally plays for the second team as well.

The teenager operates in the heart of the park, and is naturally left footed, something that him and Szoboszlai have in common. Ilt will be interesting to see where the future takes the youngster, but for now, it is expected that he will get much more game time.
