Delhi Capital’s co-owner Parth Jindal hints at IPL 2021 being hosted entirely in Mumbai

The auction for IPL 2021 has been organized successfully. The IPL GC is yet to announce the final dates, schedule and foremost the venue for the mega tournament.

According to the co-owner of Delhi Capitals, Parth Jindal, who gave hints towards the possibility of hosting the league stage matches of the mega tournament playing at Mumbai this year.

Jindal also hinted that the knockout stages might be hosted at the newly-built Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad. However, he also added that these claims are still unverified. ā€œFrom what I’m hearing and seeing, if England can come and tour, if the ISL (Indian Super League) can happen all in Goa, if Vijay Hazare Trophy (domestic 50-over competition) and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (T20 competition) can happen across venues, I can’t fathom the IPL moving out of India. I do believe the IPL will happen in India,ā€ Jindal stated.

ā€œI believe they’re contemplating whether to have the league phase at one venue (city) and playoffs at another venue. There’s a lot of chatter about Mumbai being possibly being one venue because it has three grounds (Wankhede Stadium, Brabourne Stadium, DY Patil Stadium) and enough practice facilities, and Motera (Ahmedabad) hosting the knockouts, but it’s all unverified, it’s all just what I am hearing,ā€ he further added.

via ipl’s twitter

Jindal also included that if the IPL is hosted in Mumbai for the league matches, it would be beneficial for Delhi, as most of the players hail from the city. However, it is not confirmed as the city is witnessing a soar in Covid-19 cases.

ā€œIf you look at our selection of Steven Smith, we felt the wickets in Mumbai will suit his style of batting. The fact that we have so many Mumbai boys – Prithvi [Shaw], Jinks [Ajinkya Rahane], Shreyas [Iyer] helps. Mumbai has true bounce, the ball moves a bit because it’s on the coast, and all that played a role,ā€ added Jindal.

ā€œThe other option is being mulled right now is, why not open up all venues, go everywhere and show the world we’re ready for the T20 World Cup? They [BCCI[] are still unsure, I think it all depends on how the covid situation plays out in India over the next two weeks,ā€ he stated.

Redmi K40 series: All you need to know so far

Xiaomi’s brand, Redmi, unveiled its K series in 2019 by launching K20 series smartphones in China two years back. They followed that with the K30 series in 2020. Now, the details are out and the official launch of the K40 series smartphones will happen on 25th February 2021. The buzz related to the smartphone is already loud due to some of the leaks in the previous few weeks. Redmi will be hoping that the K40 smartphones can help the company to expand further.

Redmi is known to have different designs of its smartphones when compared to that of Xiaomi or Mi. But this upcoming series might be a step towards decreasing that difference. When Redmi K40 (M2012K11AC), and Redmi K40 Pro (M2012K11C) were seen on TENAA certification, we got an idea of what can they offer to the customers.

The camera module is expected to have a similar rear camera setup as compared to the Xiaomi Mi 11. The smartphone won’t be having a pop-up camera mechanism but instead, have a centered punch-hole panel. A popular tipster, Lu Weibing, also stated that this punch-hole will be the smallest in the world till now.

Also, it is speculated that one of them will be having a stunning 108 MP primary camera. This can be the Redmi K40 Pro model whereas the Redmi K40 model can offer a 64 MP sensor.

How to Import First Two Hitman Games From Steam?

0

Earlier this month, IO Interactive had announced that the import function would begin before the end of February. The team has finally now confirmed that the owners of Hitman 1 and 2 can now import both games’ locations into the new Hitman 3 for free.

But Hitman 3 is available on Epic Store exclusive, and Hitman 2 is only available on Steam, which created a problem for the studio. IO then came to an initial solution to offer an access pass for the locations of Hitman 2 at a discounted rate, which surprisingly wasn’t received very well. They did promise that the company would work out a solution to import the locations free-of-charge for existing users, but it would take a bit of time.

On 18th February 2021, IO Interactive has announced officially on Twitter via the studio’s account, saying that, ā€œWe’re pleased to share that HITMAN 3 PC players can now import locations from HITMAN 1 and HITMAN 2 at no additional cost.ā€

To transfer the locations over to Hitman 3, IO is still using the access pass, but now they have thrown up a dedicated webpage for those, who have the first two games from the series to claim the passes for free. It’s basically ā€œa simple three-step process,ā€ one which IO recommends all the users to do it on your PC as the website is not optimized for mobile.

It’s been a month now that Hitman 3 has been released globally, for Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Stadia, and PC.

FIFA 21: EA Sports answers why Mason Greenwood doesn’t have a proper face in the game

0

FIFA 21 is the start of the franchise’s next-gen graphic games. EA Sports claimed that the game would be much more detailed than its predecessor FIFA 20. The next-gen consoles, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X, are also one of the major reasons for the overhaul.

But there’s a strange thing in FIFA 21. Manchester United is one of the most famous football clubs in the world. Mason Greenwood is their most exciting youngster right now. Surprisingly, Greenwood doesn’t have a proper face in the game.

The 19-year-old, who recently signed a new deal at Old Trafford, have a bizarre face in the game. It was expected that EA Sports would correct the face when the game would launch for the next-gen consoles but sadly, that was not the case.

So Manchester Evening News contacted EA Sports to ask about the reason for Greenwood’s weird in-game face. The spokesperson said: “Due to the current global pandemic, unfortunately, we haven’t been able to visit the training ground this year due to club restrictions on external party access.”

“We were able to capture Brandon Williams’ head scan during a visit to Carrington in February 2020 but Mason was unavailable to attend this session.ā€

So as things stand now, EA Sports will be unable to scan his face in recent times. Maybe, we will have to wait for FIFA 22 to get Greenwood’s original face in the game.

Apple might start manufacturing iPads in India this year

As per the report, US tech giantĀ AppleĀ is preparing to shift a part of the production of iPads to India. This does connect with India’s ambition to become a manufacturing hub, especially in the domain of electronics. Currently, Apple does manufacture some of itsĀ iPhoneĀ models in India. This is done with the aid of contractual agreements with Foxconn, Pegatron and Wistron.Ā

Till now, a major chunk of iPads is produced in China. Due to the negative business climate between the US and China, Apple wants to diversify its manufacturing space. A Reuters report says that the Cupertino-based company is looking to lobby the Indian government to strike a better deal.Ā

The Indian government has rolled out many incentive programs in recent years to attract foreign companies to start manufacturing in India. Getting Apple to build its iPads in India will be another big achievement for the national government. The US giant is aiming to strike a deal of around Rs. 200 billion, whereas the amount tabled by the government is Rs. 70 billion ($964 million) over the space of five years.Ā

According to the company, the Indian supply chain lacks a lot of quality. This will force them to bear an additional cost. The Indian government has launched a number of programs and campaigns like “Make in India”, “Vocal for local”, “Aatmanirbhar Bharat” and others. The US companies are reportedly planning to leave China permanently.

In that case, they have to find another market with sound technology and cheap labour. India does qualify in that list and we might see some of the big companies in the world heading our way for manufacturing. The reports suggest that a part of the production of the iPads can shift to India as early as this year.

Jamal Murray posted a historic 50-point performance in a win over Cavs

0

On Friday night, Jamal Murray of the Denver Nuggets scored a career-high 50 points and became the first player in NBA history to collect that many without trying a free throw as Denver adjusted to a schedule change by handing the Cleveland Cavaliers their ninth consecutive loss, 120-103.

After the game, Murray said that he was unaware that he had done something so unique. “I was just making my shots,” he said nonchalantly, while taking sips of a postgame smoothie. “It’s kind of cool to make history. It’s a cool stat.”

In the second half, Murray exploded for 30 points, ending his career night with a jackhammer dunk, reaching 50. The fourth quarter saw Murray sink three three-pointers in 63 seconds. In total, he converted 21 of 25 shots, including 8 of 10 from the 3-point arc, and he added six rebounds. He broke Denver’s two-game losing streak and improved their record to 16-13 on the season.

ā€œThat’s an incredible stat line,ā€ said Nuggets coach Michael Malone, on Murray’s performance. ā€œHe was on fire.ā€

Nikola Jokic celebrated his 26th birthday with his seventh triple-double of the season. Denver’s All-Star center ended the night with 16 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists. He is tied with Luka Doncic and Russell Westbrook for the NBA lead in triple-doubles. He also recently became the first Nugget since Carmelo Anthony in 2011 to be named an All-Star starter.

ā€œI couldn’t be happier for Nikola because he’s done everything I’ve ever asked of him,ā€ said coach Malone. ā€œAfter every season, it’s never been, ā€˜Go work on your jump shot, your 3-point shot, your left hook, your right hook.’ It’s always been, ā€˜Nikola, you have to mature, you have to grow up, you have to handle adversity, you have to be a leader, you have to be more vocal, you have to be in great shape.’ And he’s done all that. I’m so happy for the success he’s having.ā€

Collin Sexton led the Cavaliers with 23 points, and Jarrett Allen added 20 points and 10 boards. After a strong start, Cleveland has fallen near the bottom of the Eastern Conference table.

Bill Gates voices his opinions towards Mars settlement

0

When big names like Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk are targeting space, especially Mars, Bill Gates is sticking to the home planet. The former world’s richest man stated that he is not a ā€œMars personā€ and believed that rockets are not a solution.

While speaking to Kara Swisher for her podcast, Gates stated that Musk’s Tesla electric cars have contributed a lot towards climate change and that it is a bad idea not to underestimate Musk.

“Well, it’s important to say that what Elon did with Tesla is one of the greatest contributions to climate change anyone’s ever made. And you know, underestimating Elon is not a good idea.”

But he also believes that while Tesla is indeed working hard on contributing to climate change, successfully tackling the problem would require a focus on other industries as well. “We’re not doing enough on the hard stuff: steel, cement, meat. And sadly, the things people think about – the electricity, passenger cars – are a third of the problem. So we have to work on the two-thirds. And if all you pay attention to is those short-term metrics, not the green premiums across the board, then you miss out on what is the longest lead time, which is the hard stuff.”

During his appearance on Ms Swisher’s Sway podcast, Bill Gates stated that “I’m not going to pay a lot of money because my foundation can buy measles vaccines and save a life for $1,000. So anything I do, I always think, OK, I could spend that $1,000 buying measles vaccine.”

Musk is already eyeing sending humans to Mars and firmly believes in his ideals. “About half my money is intended to help problems on Earth & half to help establish a self-sustaining city on Mars to ensure the continuation of life (of all species) in case Earth gets hit by a meteor-like the dinosaurs or WW3 happens & we destroy ourselves. I want to be able to contribute as much as possible to the city on Mars.”

Upcoming Intel Core i5-11600K fails to beat AMD Ryzen 5 5600X in Geekbench

0

Intel is all set to launch the new Rocket Lake-S desktop processors in the upcoming months, and a lot of them have already been leaked on various benchmarks. Yesterday, we also spotted the 11th Gen Core i9 series and now its time for the budget Core i5-11600K to step up.

The upcoming 6 core, 12 thread processor has been spotted on Geekbench with a 3.9GHz base and 4.9GHz boost frequencies. It makes a score of 1565 points in single-core and 6220 points in multi-core tests, tested on a Gigabyte Z490M motherboard with 16GB RAM clocked at 1066 MHz.

The direct competitor to the Core i5-11600K is the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X launched a few months back, and as per our review, we know how good the processor is. However, the score of the Intel CPU is not up to the mark as the average scores of the Ryzen 5 5600X on Geekbench.

Well, if we do keep the low RAM clock speeds in mind, still the 12 MB of L3 cache, a 3.9 GHz base frequency along with 4.9 GHz boosts are unable to match AMD’s pehenomenal IPC uplift over last-gen.

Also, the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X is one of the coolest CPU and runs 200MHz lower than that of the Intel SKU but making better results on Geekbench. It will be interesting to see how these new Rocket Lake-S CPUs catch up against AMD and if offer better value as well as performance or not.
