Realme might be launching two more smartphones in the Chinese market very soon, as claimed by a few reports. These two smartphones will be powered by different mobile processors that can be Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor and Snapdragon 778 processor.
The famous, tipster, Digital Chat Station, has even gone ahead to mention the launch dates. According to it, both of these handsets will be unveiled on 18th June. Though, the tweet does not mention the names or the specifications of the device.

The company itself has launched a type of teaser on its official global Twitter account. They made an announcement of a new Realme device with Snapdragon 778G 5G processor coming soon. The handset is codenamed Quicksilver.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 5G SoC is a 6nm-based chip that uses Adreno 642L GPU. This will offer graphics speed about 40% faster than the previous generation. Generally, this mobile processor is used in premium mid-range smartphones.
There is no surety but maybe the company and the tipster might have been talking about the same smartphones. However, an official update is still awaited. If at all Realme is going to launch new devices, we can expect them to come up with the smartphone with Snapdragon 778 5G chipset first and then the other.

The Argentine Football Association has told the public that, in order to comply with President Alberto Fernandez’s health initiatives aimed at mitigating the second wave of the Covid 19 pandemic, it has agreed to suspend match programming in all local competitions it organizes until Sunday, May 30, 2021, inclusive.
Argentina FA, in a statement, said, “This Association has been working together with the national, provincial and municipal authorities since March 20, 2020, in the development of health protocols aimed at the care of the football family and society in general, respecting each and every one of the decisions taken. by our leaders and by epidemiological experts.”
“That is why, at this time where our beloved country must make an extra effort to control this anguishing pandemic that afflicts us, the AFA and all of us who make up football will once again accompany the national authorities by suspending the programming of matches corresponding to all local competitions for a period of 9 days.”

However, Argentina had been going through their worst ever stint of dealing with the Coronavirus. As a result, the President had to declare on Thursday that Argentina would go into complete lockdown for nine days to stop the virus from spreading. Apple Inc.’s chances of winning the Epic Games Inc. antitrust fight appeared less certain on Friday after the U.S. District Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers put chief executive officer Tim Cook on the spot over claims that his company’s app marketplace is anticompetitive.
The judge needled Cook on why Apple won’t give consumers the option to buy lesser-priced virtual goods and content directly from developers — and only allows purchases through the iPhone maker’s own App Store, an issue at the heart of the case.
There was an intense exchange in the final minutes of Cook’s testimony when the judge voiced scepticism about Apple’s argument that the benefits of Epic’s antitrust claims do not outweigh its tight controls on how apps are vetted and marketed.
Cook answered questions for more than two hours in federal court in Oakland, California. Even after he repeatedly explained that App Store rules and restrictions aim to ensure a safe and secure platform for consumers and developers, the judge wasn’t satisfied.
“What is the problem with allowing users to have a choice, especially in the gaming context, to have a cheaper option for content?” Gonzalez Rogers asked, according to Bloomberg.
Cook said that consumers “have a choice today” of buying cheaper Android phones over iPhones.

Gonzalez Rogers pressed Cook further by asking him, “what is the problem with Apple” if users wanted an option of paying less outside the App Store to buy the in-game currency used in Epic’s blockbuster Fortnite game, called V-Bucks.
On Friday, the judge returned to the idea of a possible compromise to resolve the antitrust fight, which she had hinted at earlier in the week. Doing away with Apple rules block developers from including a link or other information in their apps to steer users away from the store to buy virtual goods elsewhere online at a discounted rate.
If Apple allowed developers to have links in their apps that point to alternative payment systems, “we would, in essence, give up our total return on our IP,” Cook responded, referring to the company’s proprietary intellectual property.
Gonzalez Rogers didn’t seem convinced and suggested that the App Store “could monetize differently.” Gaming apps seem to be making “a disproportionate amount of money relative to the IP you have given them, and everyone else,” she said. “In effect, it’s almost as if they’re subsidizing everyone else.”
Cook, a soft-spoken 60-year-old who has been CEO since 2011, pushed back against Epic’s claims that were made in August about the App Store juicing profits with unfair and self-serving policies.
Cook testified that it would be “terrible” for iPhone and iPad users if the judge favoured Epic’s demand and ordered the company to allow third-party app marketplaces, in addition to its own App Store.
“It would be a huge convenience issue, but also the fraud issues would go up” because customers would have to enter credit card information multiple times, Cook said.
Epic claims the App Store generates extraordinary margins, reflecting that Apple abuses its market power.
An attorney for the North Carolina-based game developer pressed Cook on his company’s insistence that it doesn’t break out App Store profit separately from other units in the company. One expert witness testified that internal documents obtained from the Cupertino-based tech giant revealed that its App Store had operating margins of almost 78% in the fiscal year 2019. But Cook stood his ground, saying the numbers are inaccurate.
When Apple’s attorney asked whether Cook or Epic’s expert was in a better position to fully understand the context behind the numbers, the CEO said: “I am.”
Under cross-examination by Epic’s attorney, there were multiple occasions when Cook said he couldn’t remember the answer or simply did not know. According to Bloomberg, Cook was also contradicted by evidence that Epic introduced when “Epic’s attorney played a clip of Cook’s remarks from a Berkshire Hathaway shareholder meeting in which he said iOS faces competition from Google’s Android right after he testified that the two operating systems don’t compete.”
When Gonzalez Rogers was questioning Cook, she brought up how banks don’t pay the iPhone maker a cut for transactions that take place through their apps. “You’re charging the gamers to subsidize Wells Fargo,” she said.
Cook reiterated about Apple giving the platform for game transactions for which game makers give Apple a share of their revenue.
“People are doing lots of things on your platform,” Rogers quipped. “It’s just the choice of a model.”
Cook responded that there are “clearly” other ways to make money from the App Store, but Apple “chose this one.”
“It seems to be lucrative and focused on purchases being made” impulsively by users, Gonzalez Rogers said.
Rogers also pointed to a survey submitted in the case on how some developers are dissatisfied with App Store policies. “It doesn’t seem to me you feel any pressure or competition to address the concerns of the developers,” she said.
Cook disagreed.
“We turn the place upside down for developers,” he said.

The CPU core configuration details at 4 cores clocked at 1.80 GHz, while 3 cores clocked at 2.42 GHz, and the prime core clocked at 2.84 GHz, pretty identical to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888’s configuration. So, it can be preassumed that the upcoming Snapdragon S21 FE will feature a Snapdragon 888 and no Exynos as of now.
To reduce the costs of the device, there has to be some kind of cut-down, and it has been made to the RAM of the device. The Geekbench listing states only “5.20 GB” for the memory size, meaning it sports 6 GB RAM for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S21 FE.

SK Hynix Inc.’s $9 billion acquisition of Intel Corp.’s Nand storage unit has been cleared by European regulators. This is another step forward towards sealing a deal to strengthen the Asian chipmaker’s position in the booming memory market.
The regulator said in a statement on Friday that the European Commission has approved the acquisition. Hynix had earlier secured clearance from U.S. regulators and awaits approval from the U.K. and China. Hynix, which announced the deal in October, is trying to win approval from the remaining countries this year.
In the wake of a global chip shortage, the clearance comes as the Biden administration is reviewing semiconductor supply chains. If the Icheon, South Korea-based Hynix succeeds in getting the signoffs from the remaining governments, it will cement its position as the largest Nand producer after Samsung Electronics Co. Meanwhile, Intel procures sufficient funds to invest in its faster-growing logic businesses.
Hynix will pay $7 billion in the deal’s first phase and the rest by March 2025. By the end of 2021, Hynix is set to take over Intel’s facility in Dalian, China, boosting its market share of flash memory components used in computers and other devices to more than 20%. As of the fourth quarter of 2020, according to research firm TrendForce, Hynix’s Nand market share was 11.6%, while Intel’s was 8.6%, and Samsung dominated with 32.9% of the market.
In November, Hynix Chief Executive Officer Lee Seok-hee said that the company plans to more than triple its flash-memory revenue over five years through the acquisition.
“The proposed acquisition will help SK Hynix expand its global footprint, adding complementary memory technology,” the company said in a statement, according to Bloomberg. “SK Hynix expects to enhance its expertise through the acquisition.”
