Callum Hudson-Odoi expected to leave Chelsea on loan for 2022/23

Callum Hudson-Odoi could leave Chelsea in the coming weeks to get more playing time. The winger has been a fringe player under Thomas Tuchel, and is unsatisfied with his current situation under the German manager.

Southampton are pushing to sign the skilled winger, while Leicester City are also interested in signing him. The player’s progress has been hindered by injuries and the fact that Tuchel’s system does not use any natural wingers like him. But, he could find success at another Premier League club once he makes a move.

Callum Hudson-Odoi to leave Chelsea on loan

The youngster only played 966 minutes in the Premier League last season. And his battles with fitness have not made it any easier for him to be integrated into the team either. So, regular game time at another club might help him achieve his previous levels before the injury.

Borussia Dortmund have also been rumored as a potential destination for Chelsea, but no contact has been made as of yet. The Blues look unlikely to let go of the player permanently, considering he is only 21 and is still developing.

They have agreed on several departures, after signing four new players this summer. Romelu Lukaku has left on loan to Inter, Levi Colwill has joined Brighton while Timo Werner is set to rejoin RB Leipzig, and now, Callum Hudson-Odoi will join the list of outgoings for the Blues this summer.

Isco signs for Sevilla until 2024 on a free transfer

Sevilla are all set to sign Isco in the coming days, as a free agent. The midfielder left Real Madrid at the end of the previous season when his contract expired, and is going to stay in La Liga.

He was close to reaching an agreement with Real Betis over a free transfer. However, they weren’t able to afford him as they failed to qualify for the Champions League. Now, he is set to reunite with former Real Madrid manager Julen Lopetegui at the Basque club.

Isco joins Sevilla until 2024

An official statement has confirmed that Sevilla have an agreement with Isco for the free transfer:

“Sevilla FC has reached an agreement in principle with the player Francisco Román Alarcón Suárez, known in football as Isco (Benalmádena, Málaga, April 21, 1992) for his incorporation as Sevilla FC’s third signing for the 2022/23 season. The attacker is already in Seville, to undergo the medical examination this Monday.

“If all goes well, he will sign his contract for the next two seasons. After taking his first steps in clubs on the Malaga coast, when he was only 14 years old, Valencia CF noticed him. Already at a young age he made the leap to Valencia Mestalla, while his official debut with the first team came in a cup match against Logroñés. That same season, 2010/11, he participated in two Champions League matches and one in LaLiga with the Che team.”

Timo Werner to re-join RB Leipzig on permanent deal worth £25-30m

Timo Werner will be returning to RB Leipzig from Chelsea, after two years in London. It was reported that the move would be a loan deal with the option to buy. However, according to Fabrizio Romano, the transfer will be permanent.

The German recently spoke out over lack of playing time under Thomas Tuchel, and has mentioned that he doesn’t fit into the system either. With the World Cup coming up later this year, the forward will be keen to make the national team and returning to his best form at Leipzig might help him achieve that.

Timo Werner to re-join RB Leipzig from Chelsea

The transfer fee has not been revealed as of yet, but rumours suggest it is around £25 million. Personal terms have been agreed for over a month, and it is likely that the striker will be taking a pay cut on his current €275,000 per week contract.

Juventus were also rumoured to be interested in him, but his former club have reached an agreement to sign him now. Chelsea are now left with Armando Broja as the only natural centre-forward in the line-up. Kai Havertz has been struggling in the role, and Broja is yet to earn a starting place.

So, the West London side night have to make a late transfer to sign a replacement for Timo Werner now that he is on his way back to the Bundesliga.

Premier League 2022/23 results August 6: Opening day surprises from Fulham and Bournemouth

0

The Premier League is back, and the 22/23 season is officially underway. Here is what went down on Saturday, August 6:

Premier League results 6 August

  • Fulham 2-2 Liverpool
  • Tottenham 4-1 Southampton
  • Newcastle United 2-0 Nottingham Forest
  • Bournemouth 2-0 Aston Villa
  • Leeds United 2-1 Wolves
  • Everton 0-1 Chelsea

Arguably the most surprising result of the day was Premier League returnees Fulham holding Liverpool to a 2-2 draw at Craven Cottage. Aleksandar Mitrovic scored a brace, while Darwin Nunez scored on his Premier League debut alongside Mohamed Salah, to level things up.

Fulham have now gone three games without a loss against Jurgen Klopp’s men

Tottenham got off to a flying start with a dominant display against Southampton. Dejan Kulusevski was the star of the game, getting a goal and an assist as Antonio Conte’s men came back from a deficit to win at home.

Newcastle United capped off an impressive opening day fixture against Nottingham Forest, with a 2-0 win. Fabian Schar scored a screamer from 20 yards out, and Callum Wilson scored with the outside of his boot to give his side the win.

Bournemouth surprised Aston Villa in their first match back, as Kieffer Moore and Jefferson Lerma starred in the win against Villa.

Leeds had much work to do as they fended off a positive display from Wolves at Elland Road, and scraped to a 2-1 victory. New signing Brendan Aaronson forced an own goal from Ryan Ait Nouri own goal to get the winner.

And lastly, Chelsea were able to end their winless run at Goodison with a narrow 1-0 win. Jorginho scored from the penalty spot to earn all three points for the London club at Goodison.

Samsung to manufacture semiconductor component in Vietnam from 2023

Electronics giant Samsung of the Republic of Korea’s recent board meeting has approved the spending of some US$850 million for its unit in Viet Nam to manufacture flip-chip ball grid arrays (FC-BGA). FC-BGA is a highly-integrated package board used to connect a high-integration semiconductor chip to the main board.

This information was revealed during a Friday meeting in Hanoi between Roh Tae-moon, president and head of the smartphone business of Samsung Electronics, and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh. About 60% of Samsung smartphones are made in Vietnam and the group has invested more than $20 billion as of June 2022, about 28 times higher than its initial commitment.

Samsung will manufacture chip transistors starting mid-2023

With a China-U.S. chip rivalry triggering a tectonic supply chain shift, Samsung also plans to open a $17 billion foundry chip plant in Texas. It is also reconsidering its Chinese operations, according to a Financial Times report.

Samsung to manufacture semiconductor component in Vietnam from 2023

Vietnam has been a less-noticed player in the race to attract chip production – a competition that also includes Japan and Europe. The communist country hosts Intel’s biggest test-and-assembly site but has not moved far beyond those services since the U.S. semiconductor company arrived in 2006. Rivals from Marvell Technology to Seoul Semiconductor also operate in the country.

The local media now suggests that Samsung is preparing for a semiconductor manufacturing test run and might start mass-producing chip transistors at its Electro-Mechanics factory in the Thain Nguyen province. Samsung apparently wants its Thai Nguyen facility to be capable of mass producing semiconductor chip grid products from July 2023 onward. Meanwhile, the Korean tech giant is constructing a new chipset manufacturing plant in the United States and recently applied to secure more land for additional expansions. The company is said to want to triple its semiconductor chip production capacity by 2026.

Currently, regarding the construction progress of the R&D Center, the rate of completion is more than 50 percent, and the center is expected to be inaugurated at the end of 2022. When this R&D Center begins its operations, the number of Vietnamese engineers we employ will rise from 2,100 to 3,000.

COSTAR Diamond On T300 Buds Review: Here’s what the New Player has to offer within budget

1

In the Indian audio market, there are multiple big players with all types of targeted audiences. Giants like Sony, Bose target the premium segment consumers, whereas Mivi, boAt, Noise are pledged to fulfil the budget segment consumers’ demand. To make this competition even more challenging, COSTART comes in.

COSTAR has launched its first product recently, which is the COSTAR Diamond On T300. It’s a truly wireless earphone that comes with ANC, transparency mode, game mode, and more. The full package costs Rs.1,699 only and is available via Amazon India and COSTAR’s official website. There are three colour options – Dynamic Black, Smart Grey, and Elite White. As a reader of our publication, you can get an additional 10% discount. Just need to use the TECHNO10 discount code.

I received the Dynamic Black colour variant and in this review, sharing my experience with the COSTAR Diamond On T300 over the past 5 days.

In the Box:

  • Diamond On T300 Buds
  • Charging Case
  • Type-C cable
  • Extra Ear Tips
  • Paperworks

Design & Build:

Design and build are the first things that attract consumers. And then comes the in-hand feel. The COSTAR Diamond On T300 comes with a nearly diamond-shaped charging case carrying a pair of (obviously) small and lightweight earbuds. Good quality plastic is used for it. For the Dynamic Black variant, the orange interior is very eye-catching. The outside of the charging case and the buds get a matt finish, however, it attracts minor fingerprints. The COSTAR branding is placed on the lid, the Type-C charging port is there at the bottom, and in front, there is a LED indicator for charging.

COSTAR crafted the buds with almost the same theme as the charging case. As I already mentioned, the buds are small in size and lightweight as well. Each bud has LED indicator and touch-enabled multi-function buttons. These buds are IPX4 certified which indicates protection from sweat and splashes.

On the hand, the overall unit feels solid and durable, yet light in weight. It weighs around 110 grams only.

Audio:

In this section, COSTAR put a lot of features that any customer can ask for in a TWS. It carries 10mm audio drivers inside, which are responsible for the output. Along with it, there is ANC, Transparency mode, and game mode. Let’s discuss them one by one.

First is the audio output. It is well tuned from all aspects compared to most of the other wireless earphones available under Rs.2,000. The bass is well managed, besides the other audio components. The stereo experience I have experienced while watching any movie was impressive. I have tried tracks, OTT content, and audio stories as well. My verdict for the audio is the same in all cases. It is one of the best debut audio projects I can say within the pocket-friendly market. If you already experienced any high-end earphones, the sound may feel a bit suppressed. I’m completely okay with it and can assure it’s hardly noticeable.

  • COSTAR Diamond On T300 Buds Review - TechnoSports.co.in - 16
  • COSTAR Diamond On T300 Buds Review - TechnoSports.co.in - 7

Now time for the Active Noise Cancellation. You may find a few brands offering ANC under Rs.2,000 but hardly can trust. As usual, my expectation was the same in this case also. But COSTAR proves me wrong. On paper, they have used the Comf-ANC algorithm. It claims 91% less noise with it. Though I can’t measure this, the buds reduce 60% to 70% of your surrounding noise for sure, which is truly admirable.

Transparency mode is the feature you will not get at this price, not even on paper. After enabling it, the microphones come into action. It captures your surrounding sounds and delivers them with ongoing media audio. It worked smoothly for me. Coming to Game Mode which brings down the latency to 70ms. As per my observation, there is a noticeable audio shift while enabling this mode. This shift actually improved the audio quality for me and reduces the latency.

Combining all these features related to audio, the experience is exceptionally well for me and capable enough to challenge other leading audio brands.

Microphone & Calling:

Other than the audio quality, the microphone and calling experience are also equally important. On top of that, the microphones are directly involved in all the available modes’ functionality. It works properly during the calls; catch and transfer my words properly to the opposite person. All calls went smooth without any interruption and no one asked for any voice drop.

Connectivity:

Bluetooth 5.0 is there on board for the connectivity with the support of SBC and AAC audio codec. For the first time, need to pair it with your primary device which takes around 6 seconds in total. It reduced to around 3 seconds from the second time onwards. Only opening the lid is enough to enable Bluetooth and initiate the pairing process.

There are no major latency issues, even in the normal mode. The connection also remains strong most of the time. It got disconnected three times in the beginning of the testing, but get connected again within seconds. However, in the past couple of days, this issue didn’t repeat.

COSTAR Diamond On T300 Buds Review - TechnoSports.co.in - 9

Comfort & Usage:

The buds are small in size and lightweight, which I have already mentioned. The design allows these buds to sit perfectly in the ear and I never need to adjust them twice while using. The silicon ear tips provide additional grip. The stick is small in size. So, there is very less chance you miss any tap on the multi-function button.

COSTAR manages to include all the controls with the MFBs including track and call handling, voice assistant, mode changes, and even power off. However, it misses the volume control. I understand it’s difficult to add all when there are three different modes to access. I think the integration of mobile application support can solve this issue where users will be able to enable/disable functionalities as per their needs. In Diamond On T300 Buds, the voice assistant can be used as an alternative to adjusting the volume.

This TWS is fully qualified in the Comfort and Usage section. It maintains overall comfort and beautifully integrates most of the controls into two buttons.

COSTAR Diamond On T300 Buds Review - TechnoSports.co.in - 6

Battery life:

The COSTAR Diamond On T300 Buds comes with a promise of 16 hours of total battery life. The buds drain 50% of battery life in two hours with ANC and Game Mode on at a volume of 50%. With the same setup, I got around 6 hours of battery life in total. I’m sure in normal mode and keeping the ANC off the battery will increase at least by an hour. It is enough for a full day of usage.

Fortunately, the company used the Type-C port and not the MicroUSB port. It doesn’t have fast charging technology. So, the quick topup will not happen. The case with the buds takes around 2 hours to get charged fully. The LED indicator in the case shows breathing red while charging and stops blinking when touched 100%.

COSTAR Diamond On T300 Buds Review - TechnoSports.co.in - 4

Verdict:

It is very difficult to meet end consumers’ all demands with the debut product and COSTAR almost achieved it with the Diamond On T300 according to me. The ANC is not a gimmick here, the transparency mode works too. It delivers the basics, including enjoyable audio quality across media contents, calling, battery life, and management, very beautifully and that also at aggressive pricing. COSTAR didn’t even compromise in style and design. There are three colour options – Dynamic Black, Smart Grey, and Elite White. For the overall package need to spend only Rs.1,699. It is available via Amazon India.

Amadou Onana to join Everton for €40m

0

Everton are set to sign Amadou Onana from Ligue 1 side Lille. The defensive midfielder will make the move to Merseyside for €40 million, with a 20% sell-on clause included in the deal. Which means that Lille will receive 20% of any future sale amount of the player.

The Toffees will complete their fourth signing of the summer with the arrival of Onana. James Tarkowski, Ruben Vinagre and Dwight McNeil have already been revealed as new players for Frank Lampard, and the 20-year-old will soon be a part of that list.

Amadou Onana to join Everton in the coming days

Several other Premier League clubs like West Ham United were also interested in signing the player, but Everton have won the race for his signature. Amadou Onana was present at Everton’s season-opener against Chelsea, where they lost 1-0. As a result, it seems only a matter of time before the official announcement is made.

The Senegal-born midfielder spent only one year with Lille, making 41 appearances across all competitions. He scored three goals and assisted one during his time with the French side. And he is now headed to the most difficult league in Europe.

Everton are also expected to complete the signing of Idrissa Gana-Gueye in the coming days. A loan move with PSG has been agreed, and only the formalities remain for the transfer to be made official.
