Google Pixel Fold Leaks – Everything You Need to Know!

Although the Pixel Fold isn’t yet announced, it might be soon. Recent leaks seem to shed light on what to assume from Google’s long-rumored foldable smartphone.

The phone will reportedly include a 7.69-inch inner screen and a smaller 5.79-inch cover screen, which means it will operate more similarly to Samsung‘s Galaxy Z Fold 4 than Microsoft’s Surface Duo phones, which lack cover screens.

The size of the Google device when unfolded will be approximately 158.7 x 139.7 x 5.7mm. The Pixel foldable could be a little larger than Samsung’s Z Fold 4.

In terms of the camera, Google’s foldable seems to continue the current tradition of the company’s obscenely enormous Pixel camera bumps; the images depict a sizable bar running the length of the phone, equipped with 3 cameras along with an LED flash.

The front cover screen also has a selfie camera, according to the renderings. Additionally, it appears that Google’s Tensor G2 CPU will power the phone’s internal components. According to reports, the phone would be available in black and silver.

Sources indicate that the Pixel foldable will be launched in May 2023, so enthusiasts may not have to wait too long to try the phone. Additionally, the pricing is estimated to be $1,799. This puts it exactly in line with the Z Fold 4’s beginning price.

If this phone is made public, which seems probably given that some sort of Google foldable has been spotted in Android 13 code, it would be a significant addition to Google’s expanding Pixel device lineup, which currently includes this year’s Pixel 7 Pro and 7, Pixel Buds Pro, Pixel Watch, and next year’s Pixel Tablet.

Buyers have to wait and watch how Google’s debut into the market would fare, and it also implies that Samsung would have to compete with another such foldable rival.

DirectStorage 1.1: Intel’s Arc A770 beats AMD and NVIDIA in performance benchmark test

0

With the release of DirectStorage 1.1 for Windows PC systems, as well as current GPUs and NVMe SSDs, the performance benchmarks of AMD, Intel, and NVIDIA’s latest GPUs are being extensively compared. The most recent benchmark test, created by the website Compusemble, demonstrates the power of the technology firsthand on the site’s YouTube channel.

The API enables the CPU to reduce the number of critical cycles required for large tasks and decompresses game assets via “highly parallel” graphics cards without the operating system taking over and using the processor at a higher level. Microsoft’s DirectStorage 1.1 limits the load placed on the processor when the NVMe storage requests data.

The algorithms used in the compression and decompression of assets via DirectStorage allow for higher data levels to be moved above what the NVMe SSD would normally be expected to handle but cannot, limiting the time to load assets.

PC Games Hardware used Compusemble’s benchmark test to compare three of the best graphics cards on the market for data decompression. The Intel Core i9-12900K processor from the Alder Lake generation was used with all three graphics cards. All three graphics cards outperformed the Intel processor in decompression by nearly 2.5 times. When it came to “asset decompression,” the Intel Arc A770 GPU outperformed AMD and NVIDIA. According to the results, the Intel Arc A770 can transfer and decompress assets at 16.8 GB/s, while the AMD RX 7900 XT processed the same data at 14.6 GB/s, a thirteen percent difference.

Hyundai and Tata Motors, as well as luxury brands Audi and Mercedes-Benz, have announced plans to raise prices across their offerings beginning this month to offset the impact of rising costs. They had previously stated that costs would rise through 2022 due to a shortage of semiconductors, among other factors.

Prices are rising as car sales in India resume following disruptions caused by COVID-19 and component shortages, including semiconductors. Companies are increasing their vehicle production capacity, and Maruti Suzuki is constructing a new factory in Haryana.

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd reported a 9% drop in total wholesales to 1,39,347 units in December 2022, compared to the previous year. Maruti Suzuki India (MSIL) said in a statement that the company sold 1,53,149 units in the same month in 2021.

Report: India’s 40% wealth under the control of its top 1%

0

According to the news agency PTI, a new study released on Monday found that the richest 1% of Indians now own more than 40% of the country’s total wealth, while the bottom half of the population owns only 3%.

On the first day of the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, Oxfam International released the India supplement to its annual inequality report. It claimed that taxing India’s top ten richest people at 5% could raise enough money to return children to school and the title of the report is ‘Survival of the Richest’.

“A one-off tax on unrealized gains from 2017–2021 on just one billionaire, Gautam Adani, could have raised ₹1.79 lakh crore, enough to employ more than five million Indian primary school teachers for a year,” the report read.

According to the Oxfam report, if India’s billionaires were taxed once at 2% on their total wealth, it would fund the country’s malnourished nutrition needs for the next three years.

In terms of gender inequality, the report stated that female workers earned only 63 paise for every rupee earned by male workers. “A one-time tax of 5 per cent on the 10 richest billionaires in the country ( ₹1.37 lakh crore) is more than 1.5 times the funds estimated by the Health and Family Welfare Ministry ( ₹86,200 crore) and the Ministry of Ayush ( ₹3,050 crore) for the year 2022-23,” it added as quoted by PTI.

The disparity is even more pronounced for Scheduled Castes and rural workers, with the former earning 55% of what advantaged social groups earned and the latter earning only half of urban earnings between 2018 and 2019, according to the report.

According to Oxfam, the report is a mix of qualitative and quantitative data that examines the impact of inequality in India. Secondary sources such as Forbes and Credit Suisse were used to examine wealth inequality and billionaire wealth in the country, while government sources such as the National Statistics Service, Union budget documents, parliamentary questions, and so on were used to corroborate arguments made throughout the report.

According to Oxfam, billionaires in India have seen their wealth increase by 121% or 3,608 crore per day in real terms since the pandemic began until November 2022. In 2021-22, however, approximately 64% of the total 14.83 lakh crore in Goods and Services Tax (GST) came from the bottom 50% of the population, with only 3% of GST coming from the top 10%.

According to Oxfam, the total number of billionaires in India has risen from 102 in 2020 to 166 in 2022. The combined wealth of India’s 100 wealthiest individuals has surpassed USD 660 billion (54.12 lakh crore), an amount sufficient to fund the entire Union Budget for more than 18 months.

Indian Space Industry pens its Wishlist for 2023 Union Budget

0

The space industry wants the upcoming budget to announce a production linked incentive (PLI) scheme and provide incentives to entities involved in the sector in order to boost local manufacturing and spur research and development.

Kranthi Chand, DhruvaSpace’s head of strategy and special projects, also wants the government to set aside Rs 1,000 crore for the Defence Space Agency (DSA) to procure new technology from the industry.

According to Indian Space Association (ISpA) Director General Lieutenant General AK Bhatt (Retd), suggestions from the space industry on tax policies and incentives to promote investment, R&D, and employment in the space sector were received.

The ISpA also wants the government to provide financial assistance to space companies and organisations in the form of loans, grants, and tax breaks.

In the upcoming Union Budget, India’s nascent private space sector has proposed a wishlist of tax breaks and a production-linked incentive scheme to boost domestic manufacturing and R&D.

Given that the majority of space-tech companies in India are startups with limited access to capital, the ISpA believes it would be beneficial to create parity in terms of the short-term capital gains tax rate and treatment of listed and unlisted entities, as well as exemption from angel tax.

According to a report released last year by the Indian Space Association and E&Y, India’s space economy was valued at USD 9.6 billion in 2020 and was expected to reach USD 12.8 billion by 2025.

Most expensive Premier League XI of all-time

0

The Premier League is by far the most financially strong football league in the world. And as a result, it has also seen some of the most crazy amounts of money being spent on transfers in recent years. In this article, we will be taking a look at the most expensive XI to have ever been signed in the English top flight.

Premier League’s most expensive XI of all-time

GK: Kepa Arrizabalaga (Athletic Club to Chelsea, £71m)

Kepa has re-emerged as Chelsea’s first-choice goalkeeper under Graham Potter, after having a very inconsistent last few years. He has had his bright moments with the Blues, but has also had some absolute howlers as well.

RB: Wesley Fofana (Leicester to Chelsea, £75m)

Granted, Fofana isn’t a right-back, but he is one of the most expensive defenders to have been signed by Chelsea. The youngster had to force his way out of Leicester City to get the move to Stamford Bridge, where he now has a long-term contract.

CB: Virgil van Dijk (Southampton to Liverpool, £75m)

Virgil Van Dijk has gone on to become one of the best central defenders in the world at Liverpool. He has won every available trophy playing for the Reds, and is their vice-captain on the pitch.

CB: Harry Maguire (Leicester to Man Utd, £80m)

Another massive Leicester City sale – Harry Maguire has not had the best time at Manchester United. The England international has earned the trust of Gareth Southgate, but hasn’t been able to show up for Manchester United as frequently.

LB: Marc Cucurella (Brighton to Chelsea, £62m)

Cucurella is the Premier League’s most expensive left-back of all-time. He joined Chelsea after only a year at Brighton, and is currently finding it hard to break into the first team in spite of Graham Potter being in charge.

CM: Paul Pogba (Juventus to Man Utd, £89m)

Most big money transfers somehow don’t work out, and Paul Pogba didn’t work out at Manchester United twice. The midfielder joined United from Juventus for a record fee in 2016, only to leave them again for Juventus as a free agent.

AM: Jack Grealish (Aston Villa to Man City, £100m)

The most expensive Premier League signing of all-time, Grealish left Aston Villa for City to win his first league title. And while he has failed to produce the numbers that he did at Villa, an increasing end product could make him a top player for the club down the line.

AM: Jadon Sancho (Dortmund to Man Utd, £73m)

We haven’t seen the skillful winger that was once tearing up defences in black and yellow at Old Trafford. But on the back of a personal training camp in the Netherlands, we could see the player return to his old ways under Erik Ten Hag.

RW: Antony (Ajax to Man Utd, £86m)

One of United’s most expensive signings of all-time, Antony hit the ground running at his new club. But, the pace has slowed down for the Brazilian recently. And with a big second half of the season coming up, he will be expected to produce much more.

ST: Romelu Lukaku (Inter to Chelsea, £97.5m)

Lukaku, like Paul Pogba, didn’t work out in the Premier League twice. The Belgian is currently back on loan at Inter, but has been performing very poorly, leaving his future up in the air for the time being.

LW: Mykhailo Mudryk (Shakhtar Donetsk to Chelsea, £89m)

Chelsea’s newest big-money signing was expected to join Arsenal, but the deal was hijacked by the Blues to bring him to West London. It will be interesting to see how the former Shakhtar Donetsk man takes to the English top flight after an eye-catching run in the Champions League.

Prime Lite provides Two-Day delivery on products, as opposed to Amazon Prime’s Same-Day or One-Day delivery.

Prime Lite subscribers have unlimited access to Prime Video, but it is not in HD and contains advertisements. The content can be streamed on two devices at the same time, one of which must be a mobile phone.

It’s worth noting that in December 2021, Amazon raised the annual subscription price of Prime in India from Rs. 999 to Rs. 1,499. The new Prime Lite subscription offer is available at the previous price of Rs. 999 and is a more affordable option for users who do not require all of Amazon Prime’s benefits.

Amazon’s Prime Lite service is currently in beta testing and is only available in India to a small number of users. The company has not stated when or if the service will be available to all users nationwide.

Top 5 best referees in football of all-time

0

Without having good officials, the quality of a football game is compromised greatly. The correct decisions make for a fair and square game, and eliminate any bias and unnecessary reactions from teams which can cause tumult on the pitch. In this article, we will be taking a look at the top 5 referees of all-time in football.

Top 5 referees of all-time in football: Who makes the list?

5. Markus Merk (Germany)

The youngest Bundesliga official at the age of 25 in 1988, Markus Merk was named the German referee of the year six times and the IFFHS best referee of the year three times. He also works as a dentist and an analyst for Turkey’s domestic league.

4. Cüneyt Çakır (Turkey)

Cakir has been officiating matches in Turkey since 2001, and was in charge of the UEFA Champions League final between Barcelona and Juventus in 2015 and the UEFA Champions League semi final between Barcelona and Chelsea in 2012. He has also officiated six World Cup games in the last ten years.

3. Bjorn Kuipers (Netherlands)

Kuipers was the man in charge for the Euro 2020 finals between England and Italy. Since earning his FIFA badge in 2006, he has overseen 10 international finals. He has also been in charge of important games in the FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup, Euros, Europa League Finals, and UEFA Champions League Finals.

2. Howard Webb (England)

The only English referee to feature in the list of the top 5 referees of all-time, Webb was in charge of the 2010 Champions League and World Cup finals. Prior to his retirement in 2014, he officiated in the Premier League since 2005, as well as the FA Cup final, the FA Community Shield and the League Cup final.

1. Pierluigi Collina (Italy)

It comes as no surprise to see Collina as number one of the top 5 referees of all-time. The 1999 UEFA Champions League final between Bayern Munich and Manchester United and the 1996 Olympic Men’s Football final between Nigeria and Argentina are two of his best performances. But throughout his career, he was reputed for not putting up with misbehaviour, and was able to conduct matches with the utmost discipline.

Samsung launches ISOCELL HP2, a 200-Megapixel Image Sensor before S23 series launch

0

The South Korean giant has recently launched its flagship ISOCELL HP2 sensor, a 200MP smartphone camera to capture the best photos. This new HP2 sensor with improved pixel technology and full-well capacity for stunning mobile images in tomorrow’s premium smartphones.

“The Samsung ISOCELL HP2 harnesses Samsung’s high-resolution image sensor technologies and know-how at the cutting edge for epic details,” said JoonSeo Yim, Executive Vice President of the Sensor Business Team at Samsung Electronics. “Our leadership comes from innovative pixel technologies that allow our sensors to go beyond the number and size of pixels. We will continue to open new horizons and solidify our presence in the expanding ultra-high-resolution sensor market.”

Samsung ISOCELL HP2 is here – All You Need to Know

The ISOCELL HP2 packs 200 million 0.6-micrometer (μm) pixels in a 1/1.3” optical format a sensor size that is widely used in 108MP main smartphone cameras. This enables consumers to enjoy even higher resolutions in the latest high-end smartphones without larger camera bumps in their devices.

Thanks to Samsung’s advanced pixel-binning technology, Tetra2pixel, ISOCELL HP2 adds more versatility to the camera as it simulates different pixel sizes to accommodate varying lighting levels. During a low-light environment, the sensor transforms either into a 1.2μm 50MP or 2.4μm 12.5MP image sensor by binding four to 16 neighbouring pixels.

ISOCELL HP2 dl2 Samsung launches ISOCELL HP2, a 200-Megapixel Image Sensor before S23 series launch

For fuller 8K video, approximately at 33MP, the HP2 switches to 1.2μm 50MP mode to minimize cropping and capture more of the scene. Filming 8K at 30 frames-per-second (fps), a wide field of view along with bigger pixel size can produce sharp cinematic videos. Also, Samsung’s new Dual Vertical Transfer Gate (D-VTG) technology reduces the frequency of washed-out images in well-lit environments which is a problem in the Galaxy S22 series from previously.

With high precision, D-VTG adds a second transfer gate in the pixel, boosting the pixel’s full-well capacity by more than 33 percent. With more electrons stored and efficient signal transfers, this method can reduce overexposure and enhance color reproduction, especially in bright light conditions. In the low-light environment, HP2’s auto-focusing takes full care with Super QPD which allows the sensor to use all its 200 million pixels for focusing agents.

Samsung also promises a superb HDR performance using the DSG feature allows the camera to take 12.5MP images and 4K at 60fps video in HDR. So, this new Samsung ISOCELL HP2 camera sensor will enter mass production from now on and we expect the sensor to make its way to Galaxy S23 Ultra.
