Mahindra Scorpio-N SUV prices hiked up to 1 Lakh more from January 2023

Six months ago, Mahindra and Mahindra introduced the Mahindra Scorpio-N SUV. The automaker has now raised the prices of its flagship SUV by up to 1 lakh across the board. The price increase could be attributed to competitors raising their prices, as well as an increase in input costs and other factors. Last year, the Mahindra Scorpio-N was launched with a starting price of 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

Several Mahindra Scorpio-N models have seen price increases ranging from $15,000 to $1 lakh. Its Z8 4WD variant has seen the greatest price increase of 1.01 lakh, and it is now priced at 20.95 lakh (ex-showroom). The Z8 L 4WD variant with seven seats and automatic transmission is now available for Rs. 24.05 lakh (ex-showroom).

This increase has been the greatest in Mahindra Scorpio-N variants, both diesel and gasoline.

The automaker has introduced five new Scorpio-N variants in its latest generation. These variants will be available in both entry-level and mid-level segments, with diesel and gasoline powertrains.

Notably, the Z2 variants now include safety features that were previously only available on the variants above. Electronic stability control (ESC) and hill hold assist were recently added to the two new entry-level variants by Mahindra and Mahindra. The engine configuration remains the same, with a 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine and a 2.2-liter turbo diesel unit.

The petrol engine can generate 198 bhp of maximum power and 380 Nm of peak torque, while the diesel engine can generate 173 bhp of maximum power and 400 Nm of torque power. These engines are available with either a six-speed manual or an automatic transmission.

Interior features include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, electrically adjustable ORVMs, climate control for second row passengers, and a height adjustable seat with lumbar support. Furthermore, the new Z4 4WD variant will be available with a selectable (shift on the fly) 4WD system.
