Jude Bellingham to leave Dortmund in 2023 – Dortmund CEO reveals plans for youngster

0

Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham has been in sensational form this season. The teenager has scored nine goals and provided three assists across all competitions.

As a result, he is being considered a transfer target by some of the top clubs in the world. The likes of Liverpool and Real Madrid have been closely linked with his signature next summer.

Jude Bellingham expected to leave Borussia Dortmund next summer

“I think as soon as the World Cup is over, we will have a general discussion about what he (Jude Bellingham) really wants,” Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke commented to Bild TV.

“We will speak with him and his parents, with whom we have a very close relationship, and, of course, with his advisor.

“He should tell us whether he wants to stay or whether he wants to leave.

“In both cases, we will have a very pleasant and reasonable discussion between us.

“But we don’t have to pretend that the issue is not on the table. If the really big clubs are involved, then we can’t afford to have a financial fight.”

A price tag upwards of €100 million has been quoted for the Englishman. However, he will have to be convinced by the sporting project at whichever club he is expected to move to before the transfer happens.

IPL 2023: Royal Challengers Bangalore trades Jason Behendroff to Mumbai Indians

Mumbai Indians get Jason Behendroff back after three years in IPL 2023’s first trade transfer from Royal Challengers Bangalore. He was unutilized by RCB since Josh Hazlewood got the main place.

Earlier, in 2018 and 2019 when MI won the title, Behendroff was part of the squad.

He was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2022 Auction with a base price of Rs. 75 lakhs. He has also represented Chennai Super Kings in 2021, altogether he played 9 T20Is and scalped 7 wickets and his best bowling performance was 4/21. For Mumbai Indians, he has played 5 matches.

Due to Jofra Archer’s unavailability and Jasprit Bumrah’s injury, the franchise lacked a good pacer. Apart from Bumrah, the other Indian pacers couldn’t show their standard performance in IPL 2022. Quinton De Kock and Trent Boult other two successful trade-ins.

Mumbai Indians released Kieron Pollard for IPL 2023. He has been serving the team since IPL 2010. Reports suggest that the franchise will also let go of Fabian Allen and Tymal Millis.

In nine T20I matches for Australia, Behrendorff picked up 7 wickets, with a high of 4 for 21. He has taken 117 wickets overall in 105 T20s for an economy rate of 7.41.

The IPL 2023 auction is supposed to take place in Kochi on December 23. It’s going to be a mini-auction, unlike the mega auction that took place in 2022. The leftover money from the previous auction purse each franchise will have INR 5 crore to be spent in the Auction which will increase the overall purse to INR 95 crore.

Control 2 is officially Announced by Remedy Game Studio

0

Control 2 has been officially announced.

With the official announcement of Control 2 this week by Remedy Entertainment and 505 Games, another Control game is now in production. The statement that revealed the platforms it will be playable on, the engine it will be built in, and other facts about the original game, which was launched back in 2019, also included the first details regarding the sequel.

Remedy Entertainment stated in their release that Control 2 is now in the idea stage, so it does appear like it will be some time before Control fans can play the sequel.

Control 2 will undoubtedly abandon the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 when it does launch because it will be accessible on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC platforms. That’s bad news for console owners who haven’t upgraded yet, but at least it guarantees there won’t be any upgrading disasters this time.

“We are excited to deepen our cooperation with Remedy and continue the success story of Control together,” said Rami and Raffi Galante, co-CEOs of Digital Bros Group/505 Games. “Since its launch in 2019, Control has sold over 3 million copies. Control is the biggest investment 505 Games has ever made, so it has a special place in our hearts. We are grateful to the whole player community that has made Control such a long-lasting and loved the game, and are even more excited to bring out Control 2.”

Additionally, Remedy attested that Control 2 is the same game that the developer had previously referred to as Codename Heron. This follow-up will be developed using the Northlight engine, with 505 Games handling console publishing and Remedy handling the PC release.

Liverpool FC Sale: Indian businessman Mukesh Ambani, the eighth-richest man in the world worth £90 billion, is in talks for a takeover bid

0

Liverpool could be set for an Indian takeaway with multi-billionaire Mukesh Ambani’s interest in buying the club. Ambani, with a net worth of around £90billion and rated by Forbes as the eighth richest person in the world, has already enquired about the club.

But he will have to fight off interest from other parties from the Middle East and the USA with Liverpool‘s current owners Fenway Sports Group having been swamped with tentative offers.

Ambani is in the race to buy Premier League club, Liverpool

Liverpool’s current owners Fenway Sports Group have been surrounded with tentative offers, as soon as they announced their decision to sell the club. There have been offers from the Middle East as well as the USA. It is understood that the current owners value the club at £4 Billion.

However, Mukesh Ambani is a huge sports fan and that figure will not put him off. He owns Indian Premier League cricket giants Mumbai Indians and helped to set up Indian football’s Super League. After completing the purchase of Mumbai Indians he was labelled ‘The World’s Richest Sports Team Owner’.

In 2010 Subrata Roy and Ambani were lining up a bid to purchase 51 per cent of the club’s stake from former owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett. Ambani currently owns IPL cricket giants Mumbai Indians and also played a key role in setting up the Super League in his home country.

Earlier this week, Klopp spoke about the potential of Liverpool getting new owners. The German admitted the club had no choice but to spend to keep up with the likes of Manchester City.

John W. Henry’s FSG are willing to transfer ownership of the club for £4 billion – a figure that may not scare Ambani. The current owner’s decision to sell the club comes after Liverpool’s poor start to the domestic season.

Despite winning two games on the trot – against Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton – the Reds are still sixth in the table with 22 points from 14 games. Fans have been vocal with their demands that the club spend big in the upcoming transfer window to refresh the Reds’ ageing squad.

A man as rich and success hungry as Ambani will pump millions into making sure that Liverpool is competing with the best clubs in Europe. This will be a sigh of relief for the Liverpool fans, who believed that the FSG sports group were not allowing Jurgen Klopp to get the players he wanted.

In order to buy the club, though, he will have to fend off offers from interested parties in the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and the USA. Investment banks Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley have been employed by the Reds’ owners to test the water over any interest in buying the club and potentially completing a takeover.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta speaks out on private ownership of the club

0

Barcelona president Joan Laporta has reiterated that he will not see the club fall into private ownership under his reign. Laporta was appointed in charge for a second time after the dismissal of Josep Bartomeu.

And since then, he has been able to revive the club by selling off some of Barcelona’s assets for the short-term. A number of key signings have arrived, and even though they are out of the Champions League, they remain at the top of the La Liga table.

Barcelona president reveals desire to avoid private ownership

“With the levers we have saved Barcelona from ruin, we are recovering economically and we have been able to construct a competitive team. We no longer have the fears of the beginning of the mandate, when we received such a disastrous legacy. At that time we ruled out the option of liquidating the club, of course, or asking the members for money, because they are not responsible for the disastrous management,” Joan Laporta said.

“What we decided was to value some assets that the club had and sell them at a very good price, given the circumstances in which we found ourselves. I will never get tired of thanking the members who gave us the authorization to activate these levers that have saved the club. In addition, these assets represent only 5 percent of the club’s annual income, so the income statements for the coming years are not significantly affected. And I want to remind you that this part of the assets that we have sold can be recovered after 25 years.”

“A private company, with me as president, will never happen. My reason for existing as president of Barça is that Barça is never a public limited company, that Barça is always owned by the members of the club.”

“I am a firm defender, as my career attests, that Barcelona always be the property of its members. Some partners that for almost 123 years of history have struggled to maintain this uniqueness despite many vicissitudes. This arrangement connects us to our city, our country, our community and we are not going to change it.”

“My presidency guarantees that Barça will always belong to its members. If someone wants to feed this fear, they are wrong. I am surprised that there are voices that continue to insist that Barça is heading towards a public limited company because it is totally false.”

Rodrigo Bentancur steps up for Spurs with highly impressive run of form

0

Rodrigo Bentancur has enjoyed a career resurgence under Antonio Conte at Tottenham. The midfielder made the move from Juventus this summer, and has since had his highest-scoring season ever.

The player has scored five goals across all competitions, with two assists in the Premier League. He has become a mainstay under Conte, and has been performing very well so far. He scored two goals in the thrilling win against Leeds this weekend to earn three very valuable points at home.

Rodrigo Bentancur revives career with Tottenham

When the 25-year-old made the move from Juventus this summer, it seemed like there was little to come out of the transfer. However, it has proved to be a bargain in the same way that Dejan Kulusevski’s has panned out so far.

Tottenham paid €19 million up-front for Rodrigo Bentancur, with up to €6 million in add-ons that can be activated over the next four years. Alongside Fede Valverde in midfield, Bentancur is a part of Uruguay’s World Cup squad which is considered one of the dark horses this year.

In contrast, Juventus have had a very difficult time on the pitch, which suggests that the players might not be the problem after all. Conte’s faith in the player has been repaid strongly, and it will be interesting to see how far he can take his regained form.

Arsenal now 5 points clear at the top of the Premier League table

0

Arsenal will be spending Christmas at the top of the Premier League table, on the back of the best start to a Premier League campaign in their entire history. The North London side picked up a 2-0 win against Wolves to go five points clear of Manchester City, who lost against Brentford at home

Martin Odegaard scored a brace in the final game for the table toppers ahead of the World Cup. The Norwegian called for a stronger challenge on the other side of the break, suggesting that the team has their sights set on nothing less than the league title this year.

Arsenal move five points clear of Manchester City

The Premier League title race has been a two club race for the last several years. While people were expecting Liverpool to be the other club alongside Manchester City, as has been the case recently, it is Arsenal who have stepped up big time.

They have the youngest squad in the Premier League, and are displaying the hunger and desire to win that most of the other teams are lacking. Credit must also be given to Mikel Arteta for completely rebuilding the team into title contenders within a few years only.

The team’s momentum will be stopped after the break, and they will have to start again. However, the way Arteta has set up the teams, it shouldn’t be very hard for the side to get going again.

Twitter: Various World Governments raise concerns over the companies Blue Check feature

0

The new subscription service launched by Twitter Inc. under the ownership of its new owner Elon Musk has drawn criticism from officials from several of the world’s greatest democracies for being a haven for false information. Officials are warning of a rise in fraudulent accounts everywhere from India to Brazil and the US. Some claim the new method, in which a blue check mark can be purchased for $7.99 per month, is open to misuse.

The program, which was launched in October following Musk’s $44 billion acquisition, has already been halted after users paid to create fake identities that had confirmed blue checkmarks. The wave of accounts making fun of well-known companies like Tesla Inc., Nestle SA, and the defence contractor Lockheed Martin Corp. was the source of the most obvious misuse.

Twitter accounts with a blue checkmark imitating US leaders, such as President Joe Biden and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, also rapidly emerged. One account that the Washington Post created as part of an experiment to impersonate Massachusetts Senator Ed Markey was incorrectly categorized as verified since it belonged to a well-known official.

From his account, Markey condemned the platform updates and issued a caution about Twitter’s leadership’s duty “to ensure the platform doesn’t become a breeding ground for manipulation and deceit.

According to people familiar with the situation who asked not to be identified because they were not authorized to speak with the press, Indian security officials, including those in charge of security in Jammu and Kashmir, are concerned Twitter handles with a blue tick could be used to spread misinformation.

Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva’s staff was worried about the rise in false information and phony accounts, according to a spokeswoman for him, even before Elon Musk bought the business.

“Twitter did little to curb disinformation, hate speech, and attacks on the democratic processes in the 2022 elections,” the spokesperson said. “It followed court rulings but continued to allow the proliferation of fake and automated accounts used by Bolsonaro’s supporters until verified accounts repeatedly published fake news. This already seemed to reflect the behavior of the platform’s team in the face of the beginning of Elon Musk’s management.”

According to the European Commission, there are currently no issues with phony accounts impersonating commissioners. But according to Europe’s executive branch, Twitter must formally pledge to uphold service integrity as a signatory to the Code of Practice. To increase initiatives aimed at reducing manipulative conduct used to propagate misinformation, such as fake accounts, the European Union’s Code of Practice for social media platforms was strengthened in 2022.

KIOXIA PCIe 5.0 NVMe SSD for AMD’s EPYC Genoa CPUs is now ready with 98.5% Sequential Read Throughput

0

On AMD’s EPYC Genoa CPU architecture, KIOXIA has displayed the first performance demo of their next-generation CM7 PCIe Gen 5 NVMe SSD. AMD recently unveiled its 4th Gen EPYC Genoa CPUs, which represent a fresh start for the red team on their most recent SP5 architecture.

KIOXIA is utilizing the new platform’s PCIe Gen 5.0 capability, one of its many capabilities, to showcase the next-generation CM7 Series PCIe Gen 5.0 NVMe SSDs.

In the demonstration, KIOXIA used its recently released CM7 Series SSD, which features compatibility for NVMe 2.0 and PCIe 5.0 requirements and is available in an EDSFF E3.S and 2.5 Inch form factor.

There are two different models of the SSD:

  • Read Intensive: 1 DWPD / Up To 30.72 TB Capacities
  • Mixed Use: 3 DWPD / Up To 12.80 TB Capacities

Both variations include a dual-port architecture for High Availability (HA) applications, protection against flash die failure, a Self-Encrypting Drive (SED) that supports TCG Opal and TCG Ruby, as well as a SED option of FIPS 130-3. The drive was put through its paces on an AMD EPYC Genoa test platform with a dual-socket, 32-core EPYC 9354 CPU. The machine’s other specifications were a reference Trinite motherboard, 64 GB of DDR5-4800 memory, and Ubuntu 22.04 LTS operating system. The CX6 PCIe Gen 4.0 drive and the CX7 PCIe Gen 5.0 drive were compared. Each drive held 3.84 TB of storage space. While the CX6 operates at a 19W active power mode, the CX7 operates at a slightly higher 25W active power.

In terms of performance comparisons, the KIOXIA CM7 PCIe Gen 5.0 SSD outperformed the CM6 SSD by 98.5% in sequential read throughput and 57% in sequential write throughput. The drive’s maximum transfer rate of 13.7 GB/s is almost at the upper limit of the NVMe Gen 5.0 standard’s 14 GB/s maximum capacity. This is undoubtedly a fast NVMe SSD, and PCIe Gen 5.0 is solid evidence that future generations will offer significantly faster throughput speeds.
