AMD is planning to increase its Xilinx FGPA products by 25% starting in 2023

0

This week, AMD notified clients in the supply chain that the costs of Xilinx-based FPGA products will be rising. The corporation justifies this decision by pointing to the COVID-19 outbreak, rising supplier costs, and the present supply and demand.

AMD will increase the selling price of the Spartan 6 and other Xilinx FPGA products as of January 8, 2023. There will be a significant 25% rise in Spartan 6 items. The Versal series won’t have any price changes, but the rest of the Xilinx products will see an increase of around 8%.

AMD’s Xilinx 16nm UltraScale+ series, 20nm UltraScale series, and 28nm 7 series delivery timelines will now be postponed to twenty weeks and won’t change until close to the end of the second quarter of 2023.

The lead dates for AMD’s Xilinx 45nm Spartan 6 series and 7nm Versal series, as well as a few less well-known impacted product lines from the company, will not change.

FPGAs are widely employed in a variety of industries, including wireless communications, consumer electronics, data centres, industrial, and HPC. Depending on the application, FPGAs have a processing capacity of more than 500 MHz.

Intel’s affected FPGA products include:

  • Aria series, including Arria II, Arria V, and Arria 10
  • Cyclone series, including Cyclone, Cyclone II, Cyclone III, Cyclone IV, Cyclone V, and Cyclone 10
  • eASIC
  • EPCQ-A
  • MAX series, including MAX II, MAX V, and MAX 10
  • Stratix series, including Stratix III, Stratix IV, and Stratix V

This year, AMD is not the only business that has suffered. In July, Intel contacted its customers to alert them of the impending price hike for their FPGA devices beginning on October 9, 2023. It’s interesting to note that the products from both firms that experienced price rises were acquired by AMD and Intel.

The show is set in Kanyakumari and follows the life of an Anglo-Indian family consisting of a single mother and her daughter. Talking about making his OTT debut with Vadhandhi, Suryah told HT: “As an actor, I’m always on the lookout for exciting content. Vadhandhi also marks the OTT debut of Laila, who recently returned to acting after a decade with the Tamil action-thriller Sardar. Laila said she’s been very picky about her roles since her comeback. “This is the show I first signed even before Sardar. I’m looking at different characters to play and not restricting myself to only mother roles. As much as I have no qualms about playing a mother, I’m more particular about what the character has to offer to the story,” she said.

2022 World Cup: Asian and African teams bring huge surprises to Qatar

0

The 2022 World Cup has been anything but predictable so far. Sure, heading into the tournament, Argentina, Germany and Uruguay were expected to win their games against opposition from Asia and Africa. However, the results have been surprising to say the least.

First, Saudi Arabia stunned Argentina and ended their 36-game unbeaten run with a 2-1 win. Only one day later, we saw Germany fall to Japan in a 2-1 defeat very similar to the 2014 finalists.

Asian teams out to kill giants at 2022 World Cup

Most recently, Uruguay were held to a 0-0 draw against South Korea while Tunisia held Denmark to a 0-0 draw. The common theme, as a result, is the underdogs performing well above expectations and denying the historically big teams an easy win.

With matchday one of the World Cup played to a conclusion, there are only two games to play for the teams to secure qualification. And it will be very interesting to see how things pan out for the big teams.

Argentina have been saved by Poland and Mexico playing out a goalless draw to reduce the points difference. Germany, on the other hand, have not been so lucky, with both Spain and Japan on three points. Uruguay and South Korea both have a strong chance of making the last 16, since they are both on a point each.

Manchester United sale: Apple enter race to replace Glazers with $2 trillion value

0

Manchester United have been put up for sale by the Glazers family, and several names have been linked with buying the club. The likes of Dubai, Jim Ratcliffe and Elon Musk have all been discussed. But, tech giants Apple is the latest to enter the discussion.

Their net worth is around $2 trillion, with an annual turnover of £400 billion. If they were to purchase Manchester United, the club would become the richest in the world by a huge margin. That tag right now belongs to Newcastle United following their Saudi Arabia takeover.

Apple interested in buying Manchester United

The American company reportedly has plans of building a brand new stadium for the Red Devils. Complaints surrounding the current state of Old Trafford have been growing louder by the day. As a result, it would be a massive boost to the state of the club if Apple can take over.

Manchester United moved into Old Trafford in 1910, and it was most recently renovated between 2005 and 2006, with 8000 seats added.

Apple have never owned a spotting club before. And the financial prospect that United offer is supposed to be the primary motivation behind their interest. Armancio Ortega, the founder of clothing brand Zara, is also interested in purchasing the club. And it now remains to be seen as to who gets the green signal to replace the Glazers.

Brazil 2-0 Serbia: “Goal of the World Cup” contender from Richarlison

0

Brazil started their 2022 World Cup with a 2-0 win against Serbia, as Richarlison scored a brace in the opening game. The Tottenham Hotspur forward was played as the centre-forward by Tite, and he delivered strongly.

The second goal scored by Richarlison is an early contender for goal of the tournament. The 25-year-old was allowed a lot of space by the central defenders, and he scored an acrobatic overhead kick to double the advantage.

Brazil start World Cup with a win against Serbia

The first goal saw Richarlison pounce on a rebound shot, originally struck by Vinicius Jr. Casemiro had several attempts on goal, and was denied another world-class long range goal by the crossbar, even though it had beaten the goalkeeper.

Serbia struggled to test Brazil’s defense, with no shots on target and barely any attacking threat throughout the game. The record champions, on the other hand, showcased exactly why they are the most beloved footballing country in the world in their win.

Neymar suffered an ankle injury, which forced him off the pitch. But, he will be available for the rest of the games, as confirmed by the manager

Brazil are now at the top of their group, while Serbia are at the bottom and will find qualification quite difficult from this position.

Portugal 3-2 Ghana: 2022 World Cup starts in dramatic fashion for Ronaldo and co

0

Portugal started their 2022 World Cup campaign with a dramatic 3-2 win over Ghana. The game was up for grabs right up until the final whistle, and the African team will be feeling disappointed since they could have picked up a late point.

Cristiano Ronaldo became the only player to score in five consecutive World Cups, after scoring from the penalty spot. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner extended his international goalscoring tally to 118, after striking a powerful shot to beat the keeper.

However, only minutes later, Andre Ayew was able to equalise with a tap-in from close range. Portugal were able to get the lead once more through Joao Felix, before Rafael Leao made it three for the team with a perfectly placed finished from the left side.

But there was still more drama to come, with Osman Bukari making it 3-2. At the very end of the game, Inaki Williams placed himself behind Diogo Jota, who didn’t see the striker. The goalkeeper didn’t see Williams, who pounced on the ball as soon as it was on the ground. Ruben Dias and Danilo Pereira were able to help the goalkeeper out, and ultimately kept out a third goal that would’ve drawn the game.

Netflix Is Currently Developing a AAA 3rd Person Action RPG for the PC

According to the sources, Netflix is developing a triple-A third-person action role-playing game. The business had not yet given any hints that its gaming endeavors might take this turn.

Netflix working on 3rd Person RPG

By the end of this year, customers will be able to choose from a lineup of 50 mobile games, which was their illustrious starting point. Netflix announced last month that it will seriously consider cloud gaming solutions, but that is not the topic of this article. On the other hand, the newly established Los Angeles studio, led by former Overwatch executive producer Chacko Sonny, is working on this new project.

Key information about the next game is revealed by several job ads for important roles like Art Director, Technical Director, Lead Artist, Senior Producer, Game Director, and Lead Engineer.

Based on the sources, the Game Director listing notifies everyone that Netflix is considering some post-launch live service operations as well as the targeted platform (PC). By the way, if we take a look at Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, that doesn’t essentially require it will be a multiplayer game. In addition to revealing the genre, the Lead Engineer listing shows that Netflix is aiming for close-camera, high-fidelity melee action similar to the God of War reboot and sequel.

New Internal Game Studio

An intriguing new third-person action role-playing game is being developed by Netflix in its brand-new internal game studio. In game development, fighting interactions are being tested and prototyped with the ultimate goal of delivering close-camera, high-fidelity melee combat.

Additionally, the new game will need to be created with a high potential of transmedia chances. Last but not least, it is made plain in every job posting that Unreal Engine technology will be used to create the AAA action RPG.

At this point, it is safe to presume that they are referring to Unreal Engine 5. Given that the Netflix Game Studio team is still being formed, the project may not be revealed for at least a few more years.
