Salman Khan’s Return as the Host:

Salman Khan’s association with Bigg Boss has become iconic over the years. Having hosted the show since season 4 in 2010, Salman has become an integral part of the franchise, beloved by fans for his straightforward, no-nonsense attitude. The first promo for Bigg Boss 18 gave fans a peek into what the new season holds. Initially, only Salman’s voice could be heard introducing the season’s theme— “Time Ka Tandav.” But in the latest promo, released on Sunday night, Salman appears on screen, offering a visual representation of this concept.

The caption accompanying the promo read, “Iss baar ghar mein bhuchaal aayega, kyunki Bigg Boss mein Time Ka Taandav chaayega!” (An earthquake will strike the house this time, because the havoc of time will dominate Bigg Boss).

The promo begins with Salman, dressed sharply in a dark blue shirt and a sleek black suit, standing atop a giant ticking clock. The ticking sound immediately sets the tone for what viewers can expect—a season where time plays an essential role. Salman explains that until now, the Bigg Boss logo eye has only focused on the present, but this time, it will take viewers on a journey through both the past and the future.

With visuals that include hourglasses, mysterious masks, and surveillance cameras zooming past him, the promo feels futuristic, creating a sense of suspense and anticipation. Salman wraps up the promo by looking directly into the camera and reiterating the season’s theme: “Time Ka Tandav.”

When and Where to Watch Bigg Boss 18?

The new season is slated to premiere on October 6, 2024, at 9 PM on Colors TV and JioCinema, with the theme “Time Ka Tandav” (the havoc of time), adding an exciting twist to the show.

Bigg Boss has consistently been one of the most-watched reality shows in India, and the new season, combined with Salman Khan’s return, is expected to draw a massive viewership.

Recap: Bigg Boss OTT 3 and Bigg Boss 17

In Salman Khan’s absence, Bigg Boss OTT 3 was hosted by Anil Kapoor, who filled in for the streaming version of the show. The OTT format, while shorter in length, focused on drama and fast-paced eliminations. Bigg Boss OTT 3 was won by actor Sana Makbul, who triumphed over the other contestants. The season had its share of intense moments, but many fans missed Salman’s signature hosting style.

Salman’s last stint as a host was for Bigg Boss 17, where stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui emerged as the winner. The 17th season was full of surprises, with Munawar’s wit and strategic gameplay ultimately helping him win the hearts of the audience and the title.
