If you grew up laughing your way through Hera Pheri, Malamaal Weekly, or Garam Masala, today just hit different. The teaser of Bhooth Bangla dropped on March 12, 2026 — and that unmistakable cocktail of slapstick chaos, spooky havelies, and rapid-fire comedy is back, fourteen years after Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan last worked together.
What’s Bhooth Bangla Teaser All About?
The over-one-minute teaser opens on a haunted note with a voiceover warning: “In Mangalpur, no one gets married” — introducing a mysterious supernatural entity called the Vadhusur that threatens to derail everything. The next frames deliver rapid-fire comedy between Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Asrani, and Rajpal Yadav, with glimpses of Tabu and Wamiqa Gabbi adding to the mystery. NewsX
Packed with witty punchlines and classic chaos, the teaser cleverly keeps the horror elements under wraps, building curiosity without giving too much away — a very deliberate Priyadarshan move. pinkvilla

Why This Reunion Matters So Much
Bhooth Bangla marks the reunion of Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan after more than 15 years, and is Priyadarshan’s second Hindi-language horror-comedy — a genre he practically defined for an entire generation of Indian moviegoers.
The film will also serve as one of the final screen appearances of the late, beloved actor Asrani, who passed away in 2025, making it a deeply emotional watch for fans beyond the laughs.
The film’s first track, Ram Ji Aake Bhala Karenge, sung by Armaan Malik and composed by Pritam, had already gone viral before the teaser even dropped — a strong early indicator of audience appetite. Outlook India
The trailer is expected to attach with Dhurandhar: The Revenge in cinemas from March 19, giving it massive theatrical visibility before its own April 10 release. Outlook India Smart marketing, classic Priyadarshan timing.
