Where the Story Stands?

Im Yoo Jin became interested in robotics through Park Min Jae. She gave up on a fashion design graduate degree and pursued one in mechanical engineering instead. After Min Jae learned why she changed her major, he told Professor Ahn Jae Hong (Lee Chang Hoon) about her potential, and Yoo Jin was accepted into the robotics lab, according to Soompi’s report.

The New Variable: Kim Se Jin

Enter Kim Se Jin (Im Jin Hyo), a graduate school colleague of Yoo Jin. She’s a graduate of a prestigious university’s electronic engineering department, and she has been at odds with Yoo Jin since the entrance exam. Now that they work in the same lab, their rivalry is set to grow.

What the Stills Reveal?

Still	What It Shows
Basketball court bench	Min Jae and Se Jin eat ice cream side by side in a relaxed conversation, while Yoo Jin watches with a stiff expression
Tearful scene	Yoo Jin cries in front of Min Jae, who holds two mysterious sheets of paper

The first still hints at jealousy, with subtle tension forming among the three. The second raises a big question: what are those papers, and what happens on their very first day at the lab?

What the Production Team Says

The production team promised that the “spiky” chemistry between Yoo Jin and Se Jin will unfold intensely. They also said viewers will see Min Jae and Yoo Jin drifting apart, feeling hurt by even the smallest things. They described the pair as seeming to get closer, only to miss each other again, and asked viewers to watch their emotional shifts.

Why It Matters?

After a big romantic moment, a rival and a misunderstanding are classic ways to keep a slow-burn romance moving. The drama comes from the late director Ahn Pan Seok, known for emotional stories, so fans can expect the heartache to be handled with care.
