The iPad 9th Generation is a fantastic tablet that offers a wide range of features and functionalities. However, the tablet market is brimming with alternatives that provide equally impressive performance and value. If you’re looking for an iPad alternative, this article will introduce you to some of the best options available. Here’s the list of the best iPad 9th Gen alternatives as of 2024.

From Samsung and Microsoft to Lenovo, several contenders are vying for your attention. Let’s explore the best iPad 9th Gen alternatives and help you make an informed decision:

Best iPad 9th Gen Alternatives

Xiaomi Pad 6

The Snapdragon 870 CPU powers the Xiaomi Pad 6 in two different variants: a 6GB/128GB model that retails for Rs 26,999 and an 8/256 variant that costs Rs 28,999. I would go for the highly appealing Mist Blue color, however, you can also choose from an exquisite yet monotonous Graphite Grey. It is one of the best iPad 9th Gen alternatives as of 2024.

The Xiaomi Pad 6 keyboard, which costs Rs 4,999, and the Xiaomi Smart Pen (2nd Gen), which costs Rs 5,999, were both supplied to me by Xiaomi. Considering the iPad’s power, that seems like a good complement to have.

There are tiny bezels surrounding the 16:10 screen. As a matter of fact, it would be difficult to distinguish between the Xiaomi Pad 6 and the iPad from an image of their corners. With a refresh rate of 144 Hz, the 11-inch, 2880*1800, 10-bit LCD display is the fastest in its class. Additionally, there is HDR10 and Dolby Vision.

Realme Pad X 5G

The Realme Pad X 5G is a wonderful alternative. You can store a lot of documents, apps, and multimedia files on this tablet thanks to its large 128GB internal storage and 6GB RAM. Operating at the heart of its operation is a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor, which ensures seamless multitasking and uninterrupted performance. The tablet costs 27,999 rupees.

As the first Realme tablet with Multi-Screen Collaboration functionality, the Realme Pad X runs Realme UI 3.0 for Pad right out of the box, enabling users to copy text and transfer files by casting the screens of their smartphones onto the Pad X. As of right now, Realme GT 2 Pro, GT Neo 2, GT Neo 3, GT Neo 3T, and GT Master Edition are the only devices that support this feature; however, Realme has pledged to expand the list of compatible devices.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra

With a screen size of 14.6 inches, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is larger than the biggest iPad 9th Gen. Its slim design makes it highly portable, and its AMOLED screen technology by Samsung ensures an impressively vibrant display. This tablet is perfect for watching movies or showcasing your latest artwork. Unlike the iPad, the S Pen comes included with the tablet, whereas you would need to purchase an Apple Pencil separately.

One drawback compared to the iPad is that the quality of creative apps is better on Apple’s App Store than on Android’s Google Play Store. However, if you’re satisfied with Android apps, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is a great alternative to the iPad 9th Gen.

Microsoft Surface Pro 9

The Microsoft Surface Pro 9 is another device that competes with the iPad 9th Gen. It features a PixelSense screen with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, typically found on gaming monitors. In addition to gaming, it performs well for work, movie-watching, and digital art creation. Its impressive 10MP camera includes a feature similar to Apple’s Centre Stage, allowing it to follow you around a room.

The Surface Pro 9 comes in three versions: Intel i5, i7, and an SQ3 5G variant designed for mobile productivity. One advantage over the iPad is that the Surface Pro 9 runs full software instead of apps. Additionally, as a laptop/tablet hybrid, it may be preferable for those who want to use it as a laptop.

Lenovo Tab P11 Pro Gen 2

Lenovo’s Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 offers a comparable cost and performance to the standard iPad. While it may not be as fast as the iPad, it comes at a lower price point and delivers decent performance and battery life. The tablet features an attachable panel that acts as a stand and includes a slot for a stylus to charge conveniently. It’s important to note that this tablet does not support LTE, meaning you need a WiFi connection to access the internet, which can be inconvenient for those frequently on the go. Overall, it is a solid tablet available at an excellent price.

Microsoft Surface Go 3

The Surface Go 3 is another hybrid laptop-tablet from Microsoft, and it is the most affordable option in the company’s lineup. Our review found its 10.5-inch screen to be impressively bright, and we appreciated the device’s compact yet sturdy design. It’s worth noting that the Surface Pen and Type Cover are sold separately, and for optimal use, we recommend getting both. While its performance may not be outstanding in our tests, it is suitable for light tasks and offers a stylish design, making it a good choice.

Although it has been succeeded by the S8, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 Plus is still a noteworthy alternative to the iPad. It features a stunning 12.4-inch screen, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus Processor for decent processing power, and a 120Hz refresh rate, which meets the needs of most users. The tablet also boasts a 10,000mAh battery, ensuring long-lasting usage.
