ASUS (https://www.asus.com/in/) has announced the India pricing for its new ASUS Pad, an Android tablet positioned in the premium segment. The device will be available starting August 6, 2026, with an initial price point of INR 45,990. ASUS highlights the tablet’s 12.2-inch 2.8K Dual-layer OLED display as a distinguishing feature within its category.

The ASUS Pad will enter the market in two configurations, both featuring 8GB of LPDDR5x RAM.

ASUS Availability and Pricing

The ASUS Pad will be accessible through multiple retail channels across India, including Flipkart, the ASUS eShop, ASUS & ROG Stores, Reliance Digital, and other authorized ASUS retail partners.

Consumers can also leverage financing solutions, including ASUS Easy Pay and a No Cost EMI option for up to 12 months, with installments starting at ₹3,833 per month.

Specifications and Features

The ASUS Pad is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 8300 octa-core processor, clocked at up to 3.35 GHz. The device’s primary selling point is its 12.2-inch 2.8K (2800×1840) dual-layer OLED display, which offers a 144Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of up to 2,000 nits, and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage. The display also features TÜV Rheinland certifications for low flicker and low blue light emissions and supports the ASUS Pen 2.0 stylus.

Powering the tablet is a 9,000mAh lithium-polymer battery, supported by 45W fast charging capability, allowing it to reach 50% charge in approximately 30 minutes.

Design and Audio

The tablet maintains a slim profile, measuring 6.5mm in thickness and weighing 523g. It features a fiberglass rear panel. For audio output, the ASUS Pad incorporates a quad-speaker system with Dolby Atmos 360° Cinematic Sound.

Connectivity and Additional Functionality

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. The device features a single USB 3.0 Type-C port, which supports DisplayPort 1.4 and Power Delivery 3.0. Storage can be expanded by up to 1TB via a Micro TF card slot.

Camera specifications include a 5-megapixel front camera, which supports face unlock, and a 13-megapixel rear camera. The ASUS Pad runs on Android 16. A protective folio case, designed to support four viewing modes, is included in the box.

ASUS also highlights GlideX, a feature enabling file sharing and collaboration between the ASUS Pad and personal computers or smartphones across Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS operating systems, via either wired (USB) or wireless (Wi-Fi) connections. This launch signals ASUS’s continued focus on the competitive tablet market, aligning with broader industry developments (https://technosports.co.in/) towards premium devices.
