What Is ‘Arrivals: A New Manifest Mystery’ About?
The 60-minute ensemble drama moves the supernatural mystery away from New York and into Denver, Colorado. The official logline follows a mysterious plane that crash-lands in Denver, leaving its passengers with no memory of who they are — while a social worker and a Homeland Security agent team up to stop a looming catastrophe, only to discover they’re part of the puzzle themselves.
The Real Filming Location Twist
Here’s the catch: despite scouting trips to Denver for authenticity, the show won’t actually film there.
| Detail | Confirmed Info |
|---|---|
| Story setting | Denver, Colorado |
| Actual filming location | Vancouver, Canada |
| Confirmed by | Showrunner Laura Putney |
| Production companies | Warner Bros. TV, Tall Baby Productions, Compari Entertainment |
| Expected filming start | As early as January 2027 |
Putney explained the crew will need to transform Vancouver’s mountains and cityscape to convincingly pass as Denver — a common industry trick also seen in other big-budget dramas.
Manifest: A New Way to Follow the Show’s Journey
To keep fans engaged during pre-production, creators Jeff Rake, Margaret Easley, and Laura Putney launched a behind-the-scenes Instagram series documenting the show’s journey from announcement to air. Executive producers also include Back to the Future legend Robert Zemeckis, Jack Rapke, Len Goldstein, and Jacqueline Levine.
