Apple Event September 2024: A Sneak Peek of Product Launches

Apple Inc. is gearing up for its most significant event of the year, slated for September 10, 2024. This eagerly anticipated Apple product launch will showcase the latest innovations in iPhones, Apple Watches, and AirPods, as per sources closely tied to the company. While the official timing remains under wraps, preparations are already in full swing for the mid-September reveal, which aligns with Apple’s traditional unveiling schedule.

New iPhone 16 Features: What to Expect

The new iPhone 16 is poised to be at the heart of this event, with its release expected on September 20. This timeline is crucial as it allows Apple to record some revenue from the iPhone 16 in its current fiscal fourth quarter, where a 5% sales growth is anticipated. Analysts predict a further 7% revenue increase, reaching $128.4 billion, during the subsequent holiday quarter.

The iPhone 16 will introduce larger screens on its Pro models, accompanied by enhanced camera features, including a dedicated button for photography enthusiasts. Additionally, Apple is set to launch a suite of artificial intelligence tools under the brand Apple Intelligence. Despite these advancements, the overall design of the new iPhone will remain similar to its predecessor.

Apple is also refreshing its AirPods lineup with new low-end and mid-tier versions. Notably, the mid-tier AirPods will, for the first time, offer noise cancellation—a feature previously reserved for higher-end models. This update marks the first significant change for the entry-level AirPods since 2019.

Transition to M4 Processor Macs

In addition to its mobile and wearable devices, Apple plans to shift its Mac lineup to the M4 processors later this year. Although Mac updates typically follow the iPhone launch by about a month, the company is already testing four new Mac models to ensure seamless compatibility with third-party applications. These models, identified with the labels “16,1,” “16,2,” “16,3,” and “16,10,” will feature base-level M4 chips. The majority will have 10-core CPUs and GPUs, while a lower-end version will offer eight-core configurations.
