AMD Ryzen 5 7500F Desktop CPU appears Online

AMD Ryzen 5 7500F: The Puget Systems benchmark database has revealed the existence of a mysterious AMD AM5 Desktop CPU known as the Ryzen 5 7500F. The AMD Ryzen 5 7500F is a CPU that has not yet been officially released. According to the specifications, it has 6 cores and 12 threads and a clock speed of 5.0 GHz (boost) that is 100 MHz lower than the AMD Ryzen 5 7600. The chip was tested using the 1303 BIOS version and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 graphics card on an ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-F Gaming WIFI motherboard.

What’s noteworthy about this chip is that, while it uses the same Zen 4 cores as the Ryzen 7000 series, the Ryzen 5 7500F is described as a “F” variation, which we haven’t seen on AMD CPUs before.

Such chips are typically Intel parts that lack integrated graphics capabilities, which may or may not be the case here. We already know that AMD’s Ryzen 7000 CPUs include an RDNA 2 iGPU with two processing units, the Radeon 710M. As confirmed by a Korean retailer, this chip does not include an iGPU, making it quite similar to Intel’s “F” chips.

In addition, the AMD Ryzen 5 7500F as an SKU is intriguing. AMD appears to be adding additional alternatives to its lineup. According to the Korean store, the Ryzen 5 7500F CPU will be priced lower than the Ryzen 5 7600, and it is possible that we will see a price below $200 USD because it will be 10-15 USD cheaper than AMD’s Ryzen 5 7600.

The Ryzen 5 7600 (Non-X) currently retails for roughly $220-$230 US, and AMD desperately needs something in the sub-$200 US market on AM5 if they want to compete with Intel’s Core i5-13400 and Core i5-13500 CPUs.

AMD just unveiled the Ryzen 5 5600X3D, which will likewise be available for around $200 USD, but will only be offered in the US via Microcenter.
