A liquid-cooled unreleased AMD Radeon RX 6900 XTX makes appearance

AMD’s Navi 21 flagship GPU Radeon RX 6900 XT did make the world amaze by AMD’s graphical prowess and indeed checking it out physically made me amazed as well. In our reference RX 6900 XT review, how the GPU can do extremely well if it was properly cooled and pushed even further.

Now, an interesting leak has just appeared on Weibo, where we see pictures of a reference liquid-cooled yet never released AMD Radeon RX 6900 XTX graphics card. Yes, it’s the prototype of a liquid-cooled RX 6900 XT GPU by AMD, and the reference GPU looks dope!

Obviously, the GPU that AMD released last year had three fans, but it is not enough to cool the soaring GPU and unlock the chip’s potential. When I reviewed the reference model, the GPU generated an insane amount of heat which could be avoided with this unique built-in AIO cooling.

An important point to note is AMD recently launched its new Navi 21 GPU codenamed XTXH. As educated guessed by Videocardz, this Navi 21 variant was originally planned for this liquid reference design; however, maybe because of a minimal supply, AMD decided to give it away to AIBs instead.

Also, you can’t just get over with the fact that there could be a possibility of seeing this liquid-cooled XTX model being released in the coming months because of the ongoing chip crisis.
