ASUS RX 9060 XT Models Uncovered

Thanks to leaks shared by trusted source @momomo_us, we now know that ASUS is preparing multiple RX 9060 XT SKUs. The listings hint at a diverse launch strategy, with differences in memory capacity and cooling designs:

Model	VRAM	Series
ASUS DUAL RX-9060XT	8GB	Entry-Level
ASUS PRIME RX-9060XT-O8G	8GB	Mid-Tier
ASUS PRIME RX-9060XT-O16G	16GB	Mid-Tier
ASUS TUF RX-9060XT-O16G-GAMING	16GB	High-End

These early listings debunk earlier rumors suggesting the 8GB model might be scrapped. However, it’s clear the 8GB version will be limited to fewer SKUs, reflecting industry criticism over low-VRAM cards in 2024–2025.

Performance & Market Positioning

While detailed benchmarks are yet to arrive, the RX 9060 XT is positioned to compete with NVIDIA’s RTX 5060 Ti, both in performance and price. With 2048 cores and high clock speeds, this GPU should comfortably deliver smooth 1080p and even 1440p gaming.

However, the 128-bit memory bus does present limitations, especially for higher-res gaming and future AAA titles. The 16GB model is expected to be the true contender, especially given the criticism around the RTX 5060 Ti 8GB bottlenecks.

RDNA 4 Makes Its Mid-Range Debut

This launch marks AMD’s first RDNA 4-based GPU in the mid-range segment, following the RX 9070 XT earlier this year. The RX 9060 XT is based on the Navi 44 XT die, a brand-new chip aimed at bringing RDNA 4 architecture to the masses.

The card features PCIe 5.0 x8 support, enabling faster bandwidth and future-proofing mid-range systems. The boost clock speeds of 3.2 GHz+ are impressive and suggest room for custom OC models from partners like ASUS.

Pricing Strategy: A Make-or-Break Factor

The Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB variant is expected to retail under $429, making it an aggressively priced option against NVIDIA’s competing cards. Given how memory constraints held back the RTX 5060 Ti, AMD’s smarter allocation of VRAM could attract discerning gamers and creators alike.

When Is the Radeon RX 9060 XT Launching?

Reveal: Computex 2025 (Early June)
Availability: Expected Mid-to-Late June 2025
ASUS Launch Models: TUF, PRIME, and DUAL series confirmed

AMD’s Radeon RX 9060 XT appears poised to shake up the mid-range GPU market. With competitive pricing, higher VRAM options, and wide partner support, especially from ASUS, the RX 9060 XT could very well be the go-to 1080p/2K gaming GPU of 2025. All eyes now turn to Computex, where AMD is expected to officially reveal the card.
