Thomas Tuchel has been officially dismissed as the manager of Paris Saint-Germain. The likes of Thiago Motta and Max Allegri have been linked with the job, but none as much as Mauricio Pochettino, who has reportedly signed on the dotted line as the manager of Paris Saint-Germain.

Fabrizio Romano and Francesco Porzio addressed the situation on their “Here We Go” podcast on Patreon, saying that Max Allegri, although favoured by PSG Sporting Director Leonardo, did not apply for the job.

Thiago Motta, on the other hand, was very close to replacing Thomas Tuchel. The match against Manchester United at the Old Trafford was an important one in deciding the future of the now-former coach, who only bought a little more time for himself before his eventual dismissal.

PSG’s Sporting Director Leonardo and Thomas Tuchel reportedly had many differences between them, particularly related to the direction that the club was taking. The pair did not see eye to eye on many transfers, as well as the playing style that the team should take.

As confirmed by Christian Falk of BILD, Thomas Tuchel dreams of managing a team in the Premier League next. The pair of journalists mentioned that football fans should be keeping an eye on Tuchel as to which club he will end up managing next.

While a return to Bundesliga could possibly be on the cards as well, a move to England would be prefered by the German coach.
