Apple is making preparations for an extensive release cycle, during which it will unveil its latest lineup of laptops and smartphones. However, preliminary indications from a recent report suggest that there might be a delay in the launch of certain upcoming devices.

The Much Awaited Apple M3 MacBook

According to insights shared by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman in his Power On newsletter, the upcoming MacBooks are a point of focus. The report outlines predictions for Apple’s events scheduled for September and October. While the company is gearing up for a significant launch conference dedicated to the new iPhone, it appears that the Macs may not receive the same level of attention. It’s anticipated that the introduction of the M3 MacBooks will be made through a relatively straightforward press release.

In his newsletter, Mark Gurman elaborates on the event’s structure, revealing that it is expected to mirror the approach taken for the iPhone 14 launch. This format involves presenting a prerecorded video online as well as showcasing it at a physical event held at Apple’s headquarters.

Additionally, another launch event is on the horizon, likely scheduled for October and speculated to introduce the first M3 Macs. However, the nature of this October event remains uncertain, leaving open the possibility that it might not be presented as a formal gathering. Given this information, the likelihood of an October launch for the M3 MacBooks also appears to be in doubt.

This isn’t the first time Apple has pursued a strategy of not unveiling new devices, such as the M2-powered MacBook Air and MacBook Pro, during dedicated events. The company has previously skipped October launch events in various years, including 2015, 2017, 2019, and even 2022. Given this historical context, it’s reasonable to expect that Apple might opt for a similar approach when it comes to introducing the upcoming M3 MacBooks.
