Netflix has returned with the complete full-pace Formula 1 show, ‘Formula 1: Drive to Survive‘ which is coming for the fifth season. After the tremendous dominance of World Champion Max Verstappen, we have come here with plenty of tales throughout the last season of the Formula 1 World Championship.
Fortunately, we are now getting to see the stories to reveal more detail as the team from Box-to-Box Films chronicled interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, and more! Arriving at the end of February 2023, just in time for the new season.
This is really great news that Netflix has renewed Formula 1: Drive to Survive for a fifth and sixth season meaning that Netflix F1 Championship seasons of 2022 and 2023 will be covered too.
The series has been set as being one of the many reasons the sport is growing, particularly in the United States. We are assuming that season 5 has another cracker with lots of storylines and threads.
The big updates for this season were the big regulation changes which notably updated how cars can follow each other and led to more overtaking. They’ll no doubt touch on the controversy of the Red Bull cost cap breach and cover many teams’ trials and tribulations throughout the year.
Formula 1: Drive to Survive (Season 5): Release Date
The release comes while teams and drivers take part in pre-season testing in Bahrain. Although they’re gearing up for the 2023 F1 campaign, the new season of ‘Drive to Survive’ will focus on everything that happened in 2022.
The season saw Mercedes’ dominance come to an end, with Ferrari proving to be Red Bull and Max Verstappen’s biggest challengers. However, in the end, the Scuderia was unable to stop the Dutchman from becoming a two-time World Champion.

Formula 1: Drive to Survive (Season 5): How to Watch
Just like all the previous seasons, a Netflix subscription is needed to watch the new season.
Seasons 1-4 is available as well. All 10 episodes of Season 5 will be released on Friday, meaning fans don’t have to wait for new episodes each week.
You should know that Netflix is also working on a bunch more sports documentaries over the coming year, among which some are very much made using the mold perfected with F1: Drive to Survive. The team behind Formula 1: Drive to Survive will also be releasing documentaries on the PGA and the ATP and WTA Tour;
At the breaking point, the tennis docuseries, broke into two parts, the first part has set to as set to arrive on the 13th the second part will be released sometime in June 2023.
The F1 will hold three races in America in 2023, with the eagerly-awaited Las Vegas Grand Prix set for November 19. Netflix has confirmed that Season 5 will premiere on Friday, February 24, 2023, meaning fans don’t have to wait long to tune in.
