Ahmedabad International Children Film Festival is hosting its 4th edition this year at Ahmedabad Management Association, 24th December 2022 would be the opening day with India’s Oscar entry this year, Last Film Show, (Chhello Show) from 26th to 29th December, there will be a screening of various selected children film at AMA from 4 pm to 7 pm. Entry to the festival is free but with registration at AMA.
Ahmedabad International Children Film Festival – 4th Edition
AICFF is the platform where Children’s content from across the world is coming together. In 2019, 2020 & 2021 we received around 500 plus films from across the world. This year Ahmedabad International Children Film Festival has received 50 plus Children’s Films, from 19 countries including the Islamic Republic of Iran, the United States, Brazil, Poland, Turkey, Singapore, Canada, Spain, Slovakia, the Russian Federation, Portugal, Norway, Morocco, Italy, Ireland, Bangladesh, Czech Republic, Chile & our own country India.

This year’s Ahmedabad International Children Film Festival Categories and awards are Best Feature Film, Best Short Film, Best Documentary Film, Best Animation Film, Best Student Film, Best Director Feature Film, Best Director Short Film, Best Director Documentary Film, Best Actor Feature Film, Best Child Actor, Best Story, Best background score, and special recognition as Golden Kite Award, Silver Kite Award & Bronze Kite Award
Deevyesh Radia, President, of the Ahmedabad Management Association (AMA) says in the Ahmedabad International Children Film Festival, “AMA means continuing education and we have been constantly supporting the education needs by various training, forums, and events, of all the stakeholders. Film Festival is one such event, where we look forward to the young generation getting Education with Entertainment together. International films showcasing at AMA is a proud moment, and I wish citizens of Ahmedabad take maximum advantage of it”.
Jury and Members
This year Ahmedabad International Children Film Festival festival Director is Manish Saini and the Jury members are Aarti Patel and Girish Makwana.
Manish Saini: National Film Award winner for Gujarati film ‘DHH’. Says we are excited to host this year as an offline event. Films as a communications medium have the input of being an invaluable teaching tool along with entertainment for all age groups, particularly the young, whose minds are fresh and open to learning.
Aarti Patel: Aarti Patel is an Indian actor, writer, Radio jockey, and producer known for her work in Gujarati cinema and television says I am glad I am part of this festival and as jury and we will always support children’s cinema, as they are the future storytellers.
Girish Makwana: Film director, writer, musician, producer, and composer based in Australia says our children are our future, and encouraging children’s cinema is like giving them an opportunity to talk about their vision and their ideology.
Chetan Chauhan: Publicist by profession, Founder of the festival says: AICFF is one of the gestures we have started for the society to give our children the feel of the world of children’s cinema, especially when there is less focus on children’s cinema, we always make our festivals free for children and audience to come and enjoy.
