Diego Costa will sign for Wolves until 2023

Wolves are set to sign Diego Costa on a free transfer. The move has been given the here we go signal by Fabrizio Romano, which means that a full agreement is in place between the two parties for a transfer. 

The striker has completed his medical for the transfer as well, and it is only a matter of time before his arrival is made official. The veteran has signed a one-year deal with the club until 2023, and returns to the Premier League having featured for Chelsea in the past.

Only 45 minutes into his debut, Sasa Kalajdzic suffered an ACL injury. As a result, he will be out for a considerable part of the season before making his return. Their number 9, Raul Jimenez is also on the sidelines due to an injury of his own. 

As a result, Diego Costa will be the only natural striker available for Bruno Lage until either of their existing players return to full fitness. Costa earned himself a reputation as a top striker with Chelsea, winning the Premier League title with them before moving to Atletico Madrid. 

He most recently featured for Brazilian side Athletico Paranaense before leaving by mutual consent in January. Now, he is back in England and will soon feature for Wolves.
