Google teased its upcoming Pixel 7 Series a couple of months ago at its developers’ conference, we only got to see snippets and a bunch of photos of the smartphones. We know that it will feature the Tensor 2 chipset. Now, courtesy of Unbox Therapy, we have access to some live images and a detailed hands-on look at the next-generation flagship devices.
Google Pixel 7 Series will be lighter than its predecessor:
When measured with a caliper, the 7 Pro measures almost the same as its predecessor with 163.9 x 75.9 x 8.9mm measurements. It is a bit narrower as it measures 73.2mm wide with just a 0.1mm reduction in the overall thickness. The iconic camera bar measures 11.5mm.
The vanilla version of the smartphone is a bit shorter and narrower than its predecessor which measured 158.6mm in length and 14.9mm across, the upcoming model measures 13.2mm across.
The Pro variant has a comparatively lesser aggressive tapering of the edge display and the camera bar with the chassis comes with a clean finish while the one on the Pixel 7 has a silver metallic finish. These models do not have two-tone finishes similar to the Pixel 6 which is not surprising considering that this is a prototype version.
The next-generation flagship lineup from Google will officially be open for pre-orders from the 6th of October and it will be officially go on sale on the 13th of October. The brand has not yet confirmed these dates so do not be surprised if we see the dates be changed.
