Xiaomi 12, the Chinese smartphone company’s latest compact flagship device is set to launch with Xiaomi 12X and Xiaomi 12 Pro handsets on December 28th in China.
While the Chinese manufacturer is confirming the key specs of the Xiaomi 12 Series, a new leak that has surfaced courtesy of tipster Panda is Bald has revealed the entire specs and pricing of the vanilla variant.
The Xiaomi 12 poster reveals that it has a 6.28″ AMOLED display that offers a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, 10-bit colors, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and 16000-level brightness.
The device measures 69.9mm diagonally and weighs 180g. The poster does not mention that the Xiaomi 12 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. The device will have a 4,500mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging and 30W wireless charging.
It offers connectivity features such as NFC, IR blaster, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6 enhanced version, and 5G. The device is also equipped with an X-axis linear motor.
The leak does not shed any information on the camera of the Xiaomi 12. Its rear-facing triple camera unit has an OIS-enabled 50MP 1/1.28″ main camera with an f/1.9 aperture, a 13MP ultrawide camera with a 123-degree FOV, and a third camera that supports OIS, 3x optical zoom, 10 hybrid zoom, and 30x digital zoom. The device runs on MIUI 13.
Coming to the pricing of the Xiaomi 12, the 8GB RAM+128GB storage is priced at Yuan 3,699 or $581 (43,615 INR). The 8GB RAM+256GB storage variant costs Yuan 3,999 or $628 (47,145 INR). The 12GB RAM+256GB storage variant is listed at Yuan 4,399 or $690 (51,797 INR).
The image shown in the poster is the Xiaomi 12 renders by OnLeaks. While some details mentioned in the image appear to be correct, the entire poster looks fake. Do take this with a grain of salt as the Xiaomi 12 will be priced lower than the pricing mentioned in the poster.
