Samsung provides one of the best custom Android UI experience with its One UI, especially if you are not a big fan of Stock Android Experience. However, as good as One UI is, it has its share of cons, the biggest one being the ads that pop up in Stock Samsung apps.
Samsung appears to have sensed their users’ frustration towards these ads as they have now decided to stop displaying ads in default apps such as Weather, Pay, and Theme.
This decision was made after the mobile chief TM Roh in an internal town hall meeting spoke about how the company has decided to cease the ads on their Stock Apps, as reported by Yonhap.
This is most certainly a welcome decision, Samsung should have done this long ago, the changes are expected to roll out later on this year. As a Samsung Galaxy M30 user, the Stock Apps have constantly bothered me personally with random ads on your lock screen especially if you set your theme from an app like Galaxy Themes.
Samsung has not yet revealed as to when this change will go live or which versions of One UI will receive this. Hopefully, all users get this update and this is one decision Samsung has gotten right.
