The iPhone 17 is expected to launch in September, and while Apple hasn’t officially confirmed any details, reliable leaks and industry analysts have painted a fairly clear picture of what to expect. The iPhone 17 is expected to be powered by Apple’s brand-new A18 chip, which beats the A17 Pro for speed and efficiency.

This chip is expected to power enhanced AI capabilities and improved gaming performance. This will be accompanied by a 6.3-inch LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, which guarantees more responsive animation movement and intelligent power-saving ability with a dynamic change between high and low refresh rates.

iPhone 17 Rumoured Features: A18 SoC, WiFi 7, 48MP Camera, 120Hz OLED Display, Faster Charging & More

Photography enthusiasts will be pleased to hear that the rear camera setup is expected to include a 48MP main sensor with OIS and a 12MP ultra-wide camera, delivering sharp, detailed shots across lighting conditions. The front camera is also getting a notable upgrade to 24MP, which means higher-resolution selfies and better video calls. One of the more exciting new additions is the Apple-investigated WiFi 7 chip, which should offer faster and more stable wireless connectivity.

Battery life will also likely get a boost with a larger battery and support for fast wired charging, though it’s unclear if MagSafe charging speeds will get an upgrade. As for build, where Apple’s concerns will remain with a durable feel, the company will once again opt for aluminium and glass, with the usual premium feel without extra weight gains. In terms of design, it’ll look like an iPhone 16, with any chassis improvements being relatively minimal tweaks to the existing device, probably an internal parts upgrade over a facelift.

Overall, the iPhone 17 appears to be another incremental yet substantial improvement, particularly when it comes to performance, connectivity, and camera improvements. The iPhone is rumoured to arrive this September, so we should hear more concrete details as we near Apple’s fall event. Keep an eye out for more leaks and official info in the next couple of months.
