It seemingly comes forward that, after a whole year of speculations, Jadon Sancho will finally bid Dortmund goodbye for Manchester United this summer. The English winger played at Manchester City before arriving in Germany in search of more minutes. During his time with the Black and Yellows, he has performed at a high level, showcasing his quality, which has only been improving all these years.
This information comes from Sport 1 journalist Patrick Berger, who announced on Twitter that Borussia Dortmund will accept the Red Devils’ third €85 million bid. He tweeted, “BVB will accept the third €85m bid from Manchester Utd (first was €72m, 2nd €78m). Borussia, that always wanted €90m, come towards MUFC. There were good talks last days between Watzke & Woodward. Now it’s about details (add ons/payments installments)”.
While playing at the Signal Iduna Park, Sancho broke and created multiple Bundesliga records. One of them was that he became the first as well as the youngest player in Bundesliga history to reach 50 assists in less than 100 games. His 50th assist was to Mahmoud Dahoud.
After the two initial offers of €72 million and €78 million being rejected by Borussia Dortmund, it appears that Ed Woodward and his team were lucky this time around, as their most recent offer appears to be acceptable for the German side.
After what seems like years of haggling, the two clubs have finally seemingly agreed on a price. The Bundesliga side, in this case, have resorted to comply with Manchester United and meet somewhere along the line.
Productive conversations between Watzke and the aforementioned Woodward over the previous few days appeared to have clinched the deals, with the final negotiations including ‘add ons’ and/or ‘payment instalments’ to take place. Overall, it appears like things are moving in the right manner for Manchester United supporters.
