Summertime BTS Video Proves Seong In Ho And Kim Do Min’s Friendship Is As Real As Their On-Screen Chemistry

The best on-screen pairs usually have something genuine backing them up off-camera — and the new behind-the-scenes clip from Summertime is proof of exactly that.

New BL drama Summertime, starring Seong In Ho and Kim Do Min, has released a making-of video from its first two episodes, and it’s packed with the kind of easy, playful banter that makes a friends-to-lovers story actually believable. The series follows longtime childhood friends Yeo Eun Ho (Kim Do Min) and Cha Do Hyun (Seong In Ho) as they navigate their feelings for each other across the blurry line between friendship and something more.

What The BTS Video Shows

The clip captures both actors pushing through hot, exhausting shooting conditions while still keeping the set light. Between takes, Kim Do Min jokingly asks the crew, “Do Hyun is good looking, right?” — referring to Seong In Ho’s character — while Seong In Ho later shows real concern for his co-star having to repeatedly get soaked filming rain scenes.

The two also traded some good-natured trash talk over basketball. Kim Do Min admitted, “I’m not confident, but I think I can beat Do Hyun,” prompting Seong In Ho to fire back that “Do Min has no sense of athleticism.”

Summertime At A Glance

This kind of unscripted chemistry is exactly what fans look for once a drama’s romantic tension starts building on screen — it reassures viewers that the emotional beats they’re watching aren’t purely performance. For BL fans still catching up, TechnoSports covered the show’s first teasers earlier this month, breaking down how 19 years of friendship built toward one confession-filled summer in the lead-up to premiere.
