“Summertime” BTS: Seong In Ho and Kim Do Min’s Ferris Wheel Kiss Scene Has Fans Screaming

Some on-screen chemistry can’t be manufactured — it either clicks, or it doesn’t. Judging by the newly released behind-the-scenes footage from BL drama “Summertime,” Seong In Ho and Kim Do Min have chemistry to spare, and fans are already replaying the clip on loop.

“Summertime” follows childhood best friends Yeo Eun Ho (Kim Do Min) and Cha Do Hyun (Seong In Ho) as they navigate the blurry, terrifying, beautiful line between friendship and love. It’s the kind of slow-burn youth romance that lives or dies on its leads’ chemistry — and this making-of video proves there’s nothing to worry about.

What Happened Behind the Scenes Summertime?

The newly dropped making-of video, covering episodes 7 and 8, gives fans an unfiltered look at just how much work — and how many takes — went into the show’s most talked-about romantic beats.

The ferris wheel kiss scene, in particular, has become the video’s biggest highlight. Kim Do Min admitted the scene took so long that it started to feel almost comically drawn out, while Seong In Ho backed him up with a laugh about their aching jaws. It’s the kind of candid, unscripted moment that makes fans fall even harder for a show — proof that the actors’ bond off-camera is translating beautifully into their on-screen story.

There’s also a genuinely sweet detail buried in the clip: Kim Do Min revealed this was his first time riding amusement park attractions, and admitted to being more nervous than expected. Seong In Ho, staying in character, held his hand throughout — a small gesture that blurred the line between acting and real affection, which is exactly the magic “Summertime” seems to be built on.

Why Fans Are Obsessed?

Youth romance BL dramas succeed when the emotional beats feel real, not performative. This making-of video does something smart: it shows viewers that the warmth between Eun Ho and Do Hyun isn’t just good writing — it’s genuine friendship translating into believable romantic tension on screen. That authenticity is often what separates a forgettable BL drama from one fans talk about for years.

With episodes 7 and 8 building toward bigger emotional stakes, and the leads clearly all-in on their characters’ journey, “Summertime” looks poised to become one of this year’s standout BL releases.
