Summertime’s Kim Do Min and Seong In Ho Share Emotional Farewell as Filming Wraps

Every K-drama fan knows the bittersweet feeling of a series coming to an end — but for the cast, that feeling hits even harder. The BL drama Summertime just released a heartwarming making-of video capturing the final days on set, and it’s giving fans all the feels ahead of the show’s remaining episodes.

Behind the Scenes of Summertime’s Emotional Final Stretch

Summertime follows childhood friends Yeo Eun Ho and Cha Do Hyun as they navigate their feelings for one another, played by Kim Do Min and Seong In Ho. The newly released behind-the-scenes footage, covering episodes 9 and 10, gives fans a rare glimpse into the emotional weight both actors carried while filming the show’s pivotal breakup scene.

Before shooting the difficult moment, Seong In Ho shared a lighthearted but insightful take on real heartbreak, noting that tears often come after a breakup rather than during it. Kim Do Min, in turn, admitted he’d never actually experienced one himself. When the director suggested playing music to help set an emotional tone, Seong In Ho jokingly offered to sing instead, lightening the mood on set.

From Heartbreak to a Sweet First Kiss

The video also captures a tender moment following the breakup scene, as the two characters share a kiss. Kim Do Min opened up about the moment being especially meaningful, revealing it as a genuine personal first for him.

Saying Goodbye to the Set

As filming officially wrapped, both actors expressed heartfelt gratitude toward their crew and each other, reflecting on what it meant to share the experience together. The video ends on a playful note, with the pair making casual plans to grab chicken feet and go bike riding, capping things off with an affectionate goodbye between co-stars.
