In other words, this is an offer and talks, not a signed deal. Treat it as promising rather than final.

Sparrow: Overview

Why Choi Dong Hoon Matters?

Choi Dong Hoon is one of South Korea’s most acclaimed directors. He is known for blockbuster hits that drew over 10 million moviegoers, including “The Thieves” and “Assassination.” Few filmmakers in the country can claim numbers like that, so any project from him gets close attention.

What We Know About “Sparrow”?

Details are still thin, but the report offers two clues:

• The script is nearly ready. Choi Dong Hoon is putting the finishing touches on the screenplay.
• Casting is under way. He is moving forward with casting for the lead roles, so more names could follow.

The plot, genre and release date haven’t been announced.

Why This Is Exciting for Fans?

An offer from a director with this track record is a strong signal. If Mun Ka Young joins, it would put her in a film from a name audiences trust, and fans would get to see her in a new kind of project. We’ll update when there’s official confirmation.
