No ISAC This Year? NCT Built Their Own Sports Day, and It’s Everything Fans Wanted

Every Chuseok, K-pop fans look forward to one thing: idols sprinting, tumbling and trash-talking in the Idol Star Athletics Championships (ISAC). This year, there was a gap in the schedule. As per reports that MBC’s flagship holiday show, which started in 2010, wasn’t held because Chuseok overlapped with the Asian Games.

So NCT filled the gap themselves.

Meet the Teams

Team White (captain Ryo): Taeyong, Kun, Jaehyun, Xiaojun, Haechan, Jaemin, Chenle, Yushi and Jaehee.

Team Pink (captain Sakuya): Johnny, Yuta, Hendery, Renjun, Jeno, YangYang, Jisung, Sion and Riku. Yuta had to sit out the games because of an injury.

Why Fans Love It?

Mixing units is the real treat. Members from different teams, countries and generations rarely compete side by side, so a relay or dodgeball match becomes a reunion in disguise. For a group celebrating ten years, it’s a fitting way to show how far the NCT family has grown.
