DLSS 4.5 Is the Big One — Here’s What It Does

DLSS 4.5 introduces Dynamic Multi Frame Generation, which intelligently adjusts how many frames are generated in real time to hit a target frame rate — balancing performance, image quality, and responsiveness automatically. The new 6X Multi Frame Generation mode pushes 4K frame rates in path-traced titles like 007 First Light even further, all while NVIDIA Reflex keeps latency in check.

Crucially, DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution is already live for all GeForce RTX owners in the NVIDIA app. The Dynamic MFG and 6X mode features arrive for RTX 50 Series owners on March 31 as an opt-in beta. Head to Settings > About in the NVIDIA app to opt in.

20 Games Getting DLSS 4.5 — Including Path Tracing Heavyweights

The list of upcoming DLSS 4.5 integrations is impressive. Five titles are also getting full path tracing: 007 First Light (launching May 27), CONTROL Resonant, Directive 8020 (May 12), Sea of Remnants, and Tides of Annihilation. Other confirmed DLSS 4.5 games include STAR WARS: Galactic Racer, War Thunder, Gray Zone Warfare, and Where Winds Meet, among others. See the full game list on NVIDIA’s site.

RTX Mega Geometry Is Coming to The Witcher 4

NVIDIA announced a collaboration with CD PROJEKT RED to bring a new RTX Mega Geometry foliage system to The Witcher 4, enabling path-traced forests with millions of detailed plants, trees, and real-time lighting — a first for open-world games at this scale. The same tech is also heading to CONTROL Resonant.

Other Highlights Worth Knowing

The Quake III Arena RTX demo is available to download now, showcasing RTX Remix’s new Advanced Particle VFX system in action. GeForce NOW members get 90 FPS VR support from March 19 on Apple Vision Pro and Meta Quest. And a free Battlefield 6 Advancing Gloom soldier skin is available now via GeForce Rewards in the NVIDIA app.
