Esports World Cup 2026 Announces $75 Million Prize Pool

The Esports World Cup Foundation has unveiled a massive $75 million prize pool for EWC 2026, solidifying its position as the world’s largest esports event. Scheduled for July 6-August 23 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the tournament will feature 2,000+ players from 200+ clubs competing across 24 games.

EWC 2026 Overview at a Glance

What’s New in 2026

The lineup includes two major additions: Fortnite and Trackmania join the roster alongside established titles like League of Legends, Counter-Strike 2, VALORANT, Dota 2, Call of Duty, PUBG Mobile, Apex Legends, and more. The complete game list spans competitive shooters, MOBAs, fighting games, sports titles, and even Chess.

The EWC Club Championship—the flagship cross-game competition—awards $30 million to the top 24 clubs, a $3 million increase from last year. The winning club takes home $7 million, with enhanced prize distributions across all finishing positions.

“The life-changing prize pool exists to support the people at the heart of esports: the players and the clubs that invest in them year after year,” says Ralf Reichert, CEO of the Esports World Cup Foundation. “EWC is different because of the Club Championship. One title crowns a champion. EWC crowns the ultimate cross-game club champion.”

How It Works

Individual Game Championships carry their own prize pools totaling over $39 million. The remaining prize money flows through Club and Player Awards, including MVP awards for each tournament and the Jafonso Award for winners advancing from Last Chance Qualifiers.

The tournament structure spans seven weeks across multiple arenas, allowing several game championships to run simultaneously. This coordinated multi-venue schedule enhances fan experience and maximizes viewership across the entire lineup.

Road to Riyadh

The EWCF Club Partner Program supports 40 top global esports organizations, while publisher-led circuits and grassroots events form the Road to EWC qualification system. This gives players and clubs defined pathways to compete in Riyadh, democratizing access to the world’s biggest esports stage.

Building on 2025’s Success

Last year’s EWC reached 750 million viewers worldwide and generated 350 million hours watched. Peak concurrent viewership hit 7.98 million during League of Legends finals. Coverage spanned 28 platforms through 97 broadcast partners across 35 languages. The physical event welcomed over 3 million visitors to Riyadh.
