Performance That Rivals Discrete GPUs
The Core Ultra X7 358H’s integrated GPU delivers OpenCL scores placing it close to the NVIDIA RTX 3050 Laptop GPU, a remarkable achievement for integrated graphics. Early benchmarks show up to 70% better performance than Intel’s previous Arc 140V graphics, even surpassing AMD’s Radeon 890M in some tests.
The 16-core configuration (4P + 8E + 4LP) with boost clocks reaching 4.7 GHz promises significant performance gains over current-generation laptops. In Geekbench AI tests, the Galaxy Book 6 Pro scored 4,136 in single-precision and 7,612 in quantized tests, demonstrating strong AI processing capabilities.
Intel’s 18A Process Revolution
Panther Lake represents Intel’s Core Ultra 300 series, built on the advanced 18A process node with Xe3 Arc Celestial integrated graphics. This architectural shift delivers better performance-per-watt while maintaining the 28W thermal design power suitable for thin-and-light premium laptops.
The hybrid core design intelligently allocates tasks: P-cores handle heavy workloads, E-cores manage lighter tasks, and LP-cores optimize battery life during everyday use.
Larger Batteries, Enhanced Experience
Reports indicate both 14-inch and 16-inch variants will feature larger batteries than their Galaxy Book 5 Pro predecessors, addressing one of the most requested improvements. Combined with Panther Lake’s efficiency gains, users can expect all-day productivity without compromise.
Samsung will also bring back the Galaxy Book 6 Ultra laptop, though specifications remain under wraps.
