HP Indigo 6K+: The Main Attraction
The HP Indigo 6K+ is the centrepiece of the booth. It runs on the new SmartControlSystem, which aims to raise uptime, productivity and automation while keeping HP Indigo print quality. Improved scaling accuracy, diagnostics and serviceability mean converters can run reliably with less operator intervention.
According to HP, it supports pressure-sensitive labels, shrink sleeves, in-mold labels, laminated tubes and folding cartons. It offers up to 97% of the colour gamut and a wide range of special inks. Visitors will also see Enhanced Productivity Mode, which HP says delivers up to 33% higher press speed and helps cut the cost per job.

HP Indigo V12: A Virtual Look Inside
The HP Indigo V12 appears through a virtual demonstration of its LEPx technology and end-to-end workflow. It’s built for mid- to long-run production, with speeds of up to 120 metres per minute in six-colour mode. With 12 on-press ink stations, automated colour management and 1600 dpi print quality, it’s designed to handle many SKUs and high-value label work efficiently.
AI-Powered Workflows
Printing isn’t just about the press. HP will show Nio v1.2, the latest update to its AI-powered PrintOS assistant. It adds support for all PrintOS languages, embedded video guidance and faster, more contextual answers. HP also previewed the upcoming integration of Nio with HP Site Flow and PrintOS Color Beat, extending AI help to workflow automation and colour management. A new product creation experience in Site Flow and reporting upgrades in Print Beat round out the software story.
Why It Matters for Indian Print Businesses
Pawan Chauhan of HP India says the industry is moving from volume-led production to greater agility, with brands wanting more SKUs and shorter campaigns. Ramesh K S of Redington notes the market is shifting towards shorter runs, faster turnaround and customisation, with Redington and HP marking a 21-year collaboration. If you’re new to the technology, Wikipedia’s overview of digital printing explains why short runs favour it over traditional methods.
