The Men In Blue faced a humiliating defeat by Australia in their 1st day/night pink ball Test at the Adelaide, Oval on Saturday. Rahane too went back after scoring a 0.

Later on, during the final moment, Mohammed Shami was hit on the elbow of his bowling hand and had to retire hurt as India finished the innings with the lead of 89.

Australia got a run chase of 90 to win. A welcome knock from Joe Burns who scored 51 runs and built an important opening partnership of 70 runs with Matthew Wade. Then, Marnus Labuschagne came in at number three but had to leave early after Ashwin struck him in the 20th over.
