Acer has improved their Spin series with latest 8th gen Whiskey Lake processors and get some major improvements at the IFA 2018
At the IFA 2018, we have seen some great products including desktops, TVs, laptops, gaming consoles and much more. The thing that we noticed at IFA 2018 is that every company has tried to increase the productivity of the products.
The Taiwan giant Acer brought some great products at the IFA 2018, revamping almost all of their products. One thing that has led the sudden rise of Acer as a brand is due to the fact that they update most of their products with the latest processors, graphics and other important stuff.
They not only have updated products but also have brought some really cool products with a unique concept. Well, among other laptop series including Aspire series & Swift series, they have also updated their Spin series which we will talk more of it at this post… 🙂
Acer Spin 1
As the name suggests it is the base variant of the whole Spin series. The Spin 1 features an 11.6-inches IPS display with Full HD screen resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. Coming to the processor, we have the Intel Celeron N4000 processor or Pentium Silver N5000 powering the laptop.
Well, the processor is accompanied by 4GB RAM and eMMC storage up to 128GB. For the graphics, we have the Intel UHD Graphics 600 or 605 on board. The Spin 1 also supports active stylus for drawing and sketching and more…
A single charge to this device can provide up to 12 hours of battery. For the OS, we have the Windows 10 on top of it.
Acer Spin 3
The Spin 3 has been one of the most successful 2-in-1 convertible laptop series by Acer. This time again Acer has made some important improvements for its customers.
The new Acer Spin 3 features a 14-inches display panel. The base variant is powered by Core i3-8145U processor whereas the top of the line model has Core i5-8265U processor. With these new CPUs, you can expect more productivity and more battery life from the laptop.

The series is driven by up to 8GB DDR4 RAM. For the storage, you have the option of 256GB SSD or 1TB HDD. Coming to the graphics, the Intel UHD Graphics 630 on board visualizes the total laptop. Acer claims that the Spin 3 can survive up to 16 hours on a single charge. For OS, we have the Windows 10 Home.
Acer Spin 5
The most premium laptop in the series, Spin 5 is the most preferred by professionals, devs and other workaholics. The base variant of Spin 5 has a 13.3-inches display. It is available in two variants with either Core i5-8265U or Core i7.
The 15-inches variant supports Acer’s Active Stylus. The 15-inches variant has NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 graphics card for better graphics experience.
The series is driven by DDR4 RAM up to 16GBand SSD native storage up to 256GB. Coming to the graphics, the Intel UHD graphics 630 on board is there to take care of. The 13-inch variant just weighs just 3.31 pounds & the 15-inch one weighs above 4 pounds. Acer even claims of battery life up to 13 hours. For the OS either you will have Window 10 Pro or Windows 10 Home.
For an immersive sound experience, there’s the Dolby Audio Premium tech, dual front-facing speakers and Acer True Harmony. Also, there’s the much important Cortana access which can be used even if the user is four meters away.
Well, here was the amazing trio presented by Acer at the IFA that has speculated a lot of tech geeks around the world. As for now, the laptops are announced and soon the availability will be disclosed by the company for different country and region.
