Paulinho is in stunning form for Guangzhou Evergrande after leaving Barcelona

The return of Paulinho to China was a big surprise this summer. But the Brazilian has been in stunning form since re-signing for Guangzhou Evergrande


Paulinho has scored eight goals and contributed five assists in eight games for the Chinese Super League side Guangzhou Evergrande.

Barcelona was widely criticised for the signing of Paulinho. But he went on to prove most of his detractors wrong. He scored nine goals and helped Barcelona to a win the La Liga and Copa Del Rey.

Paulinho has moved back to Guangzhou Evergrande on an initial one-year loan. But Barcelona have the option to sign him permanently. The fee is believed to be more than the €40 m Barcelona paid for him earlier.
