After a promising debut episode that established Chika’s dilemma—facing repeated rejections from publisher Kadokawa—fans are eagerly awaiting her next adventure.

The premiere showcased Chika’s first attempt to break her routine through travel, highlighting how new experiences can impact creative thinking, even when they don’t immediately yield results. As the second episode approaches, viewers are curious to see how Chika’s journey continues and how the supporting cast, briefly glimpsed in the first installment, will develop alongside our travel-loving protagonist.

Zatsu Tabi Episode 2: When and Where to Continue Chika’s Journey

Zatsu Tabi episode 2 is scheduled to premiere on Monday, April 14, 2025, at 10:00 pm Japanese Standard Time. Following the well-received first episode, the continuation of Chika Suzugamori’s creative journey promises to expand on the series’ exploration of travel as a source of inspiration. For international viewers eager to follow along with Chika’s adventures, the release times vary depending on your location, making it essential to mark your calendars accordingly.

Japanese viewers can catch the episode on several local networks, including AT-X, Tokyo MX, BS11, and YTV, as part of their regular anime programming blocks. For international audiences, Crunchyroll remains the exclusive streaming platform for Zatsu Tabi episode 2, continuing their pattern of releasing episodes shortly after the Japanese broadcast. While a subscription is required to view the latest episodes, this ensures access to official English subtitles for non-Japanese speakers.

The timing of each episode’s release has been carefully structured to accommodate global audiences. Viewers in North America can enjoy the new episode during morning hours, with East Coast fans able to watch at 9:00 am Eastern Time and West Coast audiences at 6:00 am Pacific Time. European viewers will find the episode available in the afternoon hours, while those in Asia can tune in during evening timeslots, creating a shared viewing experience across different time zones.

The debut episode introduced viewers to Chika’s creative struggles, focusing on her determination to find inspiration through travel after facing multiple rejections from her editor at Kadokawa publishing. After posting a poll on social media (boosted by her established mangaka friend), Chika committed to traveling, documenting her experiences for her followers. The episode beautifully captured the essence of solo travel through quiet moments of self-reflection—from relaxing in hot springs to savoring local cuisine and completing the symbolic 1,225-step climb to a temple summit.

Despite these enriching experiences, Chika’s draft was ultimately rejected again, highlighting the often non-linear nature of creative inspiration. This bittersweet conclusion perfectly established the premise of the series: the value lies in the journey itself rather than any guaranteed creative outcome, setting up Chika’s desire to continue traveling.

For episode 2, viewers can expect to see Chika embark on another journey as she continues seeking the creative spark that her editor believes is missing from her work. The preview suggests we’ll learn more about the supporting characters who made brief appearances in the first episode, potentially including Chika’s mangaka friend who helped amplify her social media poll. This gradual expansion of the cast promises to add depth to Chika’s world while maintaining the series’ contemplative focus on travel and creativity.

The slice-of-life genre is known for its gradual character development, and Zatsu Tabi appears to be following this tradition by allowing relationships and personalities to unfold naturally across episodes. The second installment will likely maintain the soothing pacing established in the premiere while introducing new locations and experiences that could potentially influence Chika’s artistic development.
