What’s Happening?
On May 12, the production team announced that Yoo Seon Ho will be graduating from 2 Days & 1 Night, and he will personally share his final farewell with viewers during the May 31 broadcast.
It’s a bittersweet moment — not just for fans, but clearly for Yoo Seon Ho himself. During his final filming, he described the show as “everything from my 20s,” adding that traveling all over the country was a priceless experience he will never forget.
Those words carry real weight. He joined at just 21 years old and spent his formative years running through rain, sleeping outdoors, and losing games in the most endearing ways possible — all on national television. That’s not just a job. That’s growing up in front of millions.
His Heartfelt Words to the Cast and Viewers
Yoo Seon Ho didn’t hold back during his final night with the cast. He said, “My journey on 2 Days & 1 Night has come to an end, but I’m so happy and grateful to have gained dependable older brothers who will stay in my life forever.”
He also had something touching to say to the viewers who supported him throughout: “I’m grateful to the viewers who loved me even though I was nobody special.” That kind of humility is exactly what made him so special to begin with.
What Made Yoo Seon Ho Unforgettable on the Show
Yoo Seon Ho joined 2 Days & 1 Night Season 4 in December 2022, becoming the first cast member born in the 2000s in the show’s history. He brought youthful energy and honest charm to the program, entertaining viewers with his “foodie brothers” chemistry alongside Moon Se Yoon and his “weakest duo” chemistry with DinDin. soompi
2 Days & 1 Night is one of South Korea’s longest-running variety shows, known for its cast of celebrities embarking on spontaneous overnight trips across the country. Yoo Seon Ho’s role as the wide-eyed, enthusiastic maknae gave the Season 4 lineup a perfectly balanced dynamic — naive enough to be funny, genuine enough to be loveable.
The production team thanked him sincerely, saying they will continue to support him as he shows even more sides of himself as an actor. soompi
What’s Next for Yoo Seon Ho?
With his final episode set for May 31, this feels less like a goodbye and more like a launchpad. He’s stepping away from variety to focus on his acting career — and if his presence on 2 Days & 1 Night is anything to go by, he has the likability and emotional intelligence to become a serious screen presence.
