Bollywood’s favourite couple has some happy news to share. Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra are expecting their second child, and social media has been filled with congratulations.
A Quiet, Heartfelt Announcement
The couple shared the news on Instagram on October 7, 2026, with a post showing them alongside their daughter Saraayah, holding a fresh pair of knitted baby booties. Kiara’s caption said they were “blessed once again with the greatest gift of all,” and added that their hearts were full of love and gratitude. The post echoes their first pregnancy announcement in February 2025, which also used tiny baby socks.
Bollywood Responds
Friends and colleagues flooded the comments within minutes. Karan Johar sent heart-filled love, and Bhumi Pednekar left a string of red hearts. Kareena Kapoor Khan cheered the couple on as “Mommy and Daddy again,” while Karisma Kapoor also sent congratulations.

From Shershaah to Parenthood
Kiara and Sidharth’s romance began on the sets of Shershaah, and they married in an intimate Rajasthan ceremony in February 2023. They announced their first pregnancy in February 2025, and Kiara famously revealed her baby bump at the 2025 Met Gala, in a sculpted gold Gaurav Gupta look she captioned as her first Monday in May as a mama. Saraayah arrived a few months later, in July.
Motherhood on Her Own Terms
Kiara has been open about how becoming a mother changed her, and has spoken about post-pregnancy scrutiny and the importance of mental health and boundaries at work. That candour is part of why her fans respond so warmly to these milestones. Despite being one of Bollywood’s most closely followed couples, the pair tend to share their personal news simply and on their own timeline.
What’s Next
Kiara was last seen on screen in War 2, part of the YRF Spy Universe, and both she and Sidharth have film commitments ahead. For now, though, the spotlight is firmly on the Malhotra family and the new arrival expected down the line.
