Final Table: Two Half-Sisters Turn a Cooking Competition Into a Boardroom Battle

Who needs a cooking show when the real drama is happening in the boardroom? Final Table has just released new stills of Jang Young Nam and Cha Ji Yeon as two powerful half-sisters, and their goals couldn’t be more different. One wants to save the family empire, and the other wants to take it.

Final Table: The Drama

A High-Stakes Kitchen Showdown

The series follows talented Korean chefs from around the world who gather to compete in The Table: K-Chef 2026, a survival competition to determine the best Korean chef. For a bit of culinary background, see Korean cuisine on Wikipedia.

The sisters, who hold sway over Pyungyeon Group, become the sponsors and producers of the show. Because each has a goal of her own, the tension runs both inside and outside the competition.

Moon Hae Sun: The Chairwoman Under Pressure

Jang Young Nam plays Moon Hae Sun, chairwoman of Pyungyeon Group. Born an only child, she began preparing to take over the family business early. Her interest in food began during her studies abroad, when a classmate asked her what the best cuisine in Korea was. With sharp business instincts, she built the company into the No. 1 player in Korea’s food service industry.

Then an undisclosed incident threatens both the group and her position. She accepts an offer from Pyungyeon Media Chief Producer Seon Jeong Won (Jung Eugene) to produce the cooking show. Her calculation is simple: make it a hit, repair the group’s negative image and stay on top.

Baek Hyun Joo: The Half-Sister With a Secret Plan

Cha Ji Yeon plays Baek Hyun Joo, CEO of Pyungyeon Media, a subsidiary of the group. She rose thanks to quick judgment and political instincts. She’s outgoing and loves luxury and a glamorous lifestyle, and she appears to follow her older sister.

Secretly, though, she has her sights set on the chairwoman’s seat. To her, the new cooking show is the perfect chance to strengthen her own position and push her sister out.

Why This One Looks Delicious?

Combining a food competition with corporate power struggles is a smart recipe. Viewers get chef rivalries on the stage and sibling rivalries behind it, and nobody knows what kind of showdown the sisters will wage when the cameras are rolling.

Warm Up Before the Premiere

Fans can catch Jang Young Nam in The Heavenly Idol and Cha Ji Yeon in Taxi Driver.
