Xiaomi just raised the bar for Android tablets in India. The Xiaomi Pad 8 has officially launched, and it’s gunning hard at the productivity crowd — packing a flagship-grade chipset, India’s slimmest flagship Android tablet form factor of 2026, and a software experience that genuinely blurs the line between tablet and laptop. Starting at ₹30,999 effective (post bank offer), it’s a serious proposition.

Xiaomi Pad 8 — Full Pricing & Variants

Variant	MRP	Effective Price*
8GB + 128GB	₹33,999	₹30,999
12GB + 256GB	₹36,999	₹33,999
12GB + 256GB (Nano Texture)	₹38,999	₹35,999
Creator’s Edition (12GB + 256GB)	₹41,999	₹38,999
Creator’s Edition (Nano Texture)	₹43,999	₹40,999

*₹3,000 off on SBI credit card EMI; ₹2,750 on full swipe. Offer valid till March 31, 2026. Available from March 17 on Amazon, mi.com, and Xiaomi retail partners.

What Makes the Xiaomi Pad 8 Stand Out

Under the hood sits the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 — delivering 32% better CPU and 50%+ stronger GPU performance over its predecessor. Paired with LPDDR5T RAM and UFS 4.1 storage (a segment first), app switching and large file handling feel genuinely fast.

The 9200mAh battery is the biggest Xiaomi has ever put in a tablet, backed by 45W turbo charging with a 67W charger included in the box. That’s a combo that should comfortably last a full workday and then some.

Running on Xiaomi HyperOS 3, the Pad 8 brings Workstation Mode, PC-level browser support with right-click and hover previews, and a split-screen layout that makes multitasking feel natural rather than forced. Buyers purchasing between March 17–31 also get a one-year additional warranty thrown in.

The optional Xiaomi Focus Pen Pro (₹5,999) is worth a mention — it supports 16,000+ pressure levels and under 1ms latency, and is the first Android stylus with rotation support. Pair it with the Focus Keyboard (₹8,999) and this becomes a legitimate laptop replacement for most daily workflows.

Quick Verdict

At ₹30,999 effective, the Xiaomi Pad 8 is the most compelling Android tablet under ₹35,000 right now. The chipset, battery, and HyperOS 3 software stack give it genuine staying power — and four years of Android updates plus six years of security patches mean you won’t be replacing it anytime soon.
